Backsplash Help...small SS backsplash??? Pics?
Comments (8)Thanks prill...I'm leaning towards only doing tile in area to the left of the casing...then in the window area just doing paint and the casing down to the counter. I guess I'll just have to be more dilligent with cleaning. The Reef was the first tile that spoke to me...I really thought I was going to go for a more solid blue, but reef is so much softer....it allows me to play up the color of the walls more...not that I have a lot of walls...And, I found out that my designer can get it for about 12.50/sf where I was quoted around $15/sf....See MoreBacksplash? No backsplash? What kind of backsplash?
Comments (25)didn't have time to read all the answers. I have no backsplash and have never regretted it...been over 6 yrs. It is painted with BM matte...which has ceramic in it. It is as beautiful now as it was when first painted. I love the fact that I can showcase other things ...art etc in my kitchen and no competition. Also if I ever want to change it is as quick as a paint brush...expense is minimal..paint only ! All in all I think it is serene as you point out . Here is one pick. Since I have a lot of high heat cooking in my kitchen..built in deep fat fryer as well as gas cook top I can definitely speak to the longevity of paint only. c ( more at this album )...See MoreNeed help! Does this back splash go with this granite?
Comments (19)Could you post a photo showing the cabinets too? It may be tricky to get the right color tile that works with the white cabinets and the cream granite. In mark_rachel's photo, notice how the tile to the left is a pure white like your cabinets while the tile she's selecting is cream. You would have all of those white/cream tones to coordinate. It may be better to go with a darker taupe, light cocoa, or sandy color that picks up a color from the granite and that won't fight the white cabinets....See Morehelp with kitchen wall, no uppers..??need a backsplash??
Comments (3)You could do painted glass under your hood, stainless sheet, tile just there, or paint with a very washable paint....See Moressp9633
