Comments (9)Well, we put in an offer on ANOTHER house (this is the 3rd one) Maybe the third time is the charm? The bedroom is much smaller than my current room which is over 13x17. I'll worry about the furniture IF we get the house! Cliff and Joan - the room size of this particular house we put the offer on is 12'11"x13'7" My furniture, if pushed up against each other with no room in between is 12 feet, exactly. Bed is 80"w and each of my nighstands is 32"w. That gives me 1'7" in this home, and it's not enough to be able to enter the bathroom. Your bedroom looks lovely. Seems it's a long room?? Below is a pic of the room in question. The current owner has a queen bed and one nightstand on the right side of the bed. The window you see in the first picture, right to the left of that (see 2nd picture) is the bathroom doorway. RED, it's been hard for me to find a home with a large master that has the other features I'm wanting in a house. Most newer homes have the large master I'm looking for, but don't have the formal living room and/or layout I'm wanting, so I'm limited. Older homes seem to have the layout I want, but not the big master bedroom. I too agree with Kiko, see below. KIKO, got the point and am agreeing with you. I'm getting rid of alot of other furniture. I like my furniture but can live without it. I'm just not sure how to put "odd" pieces together and wanted to see how others would put a bedroom together made of mixed pieces of furniture, without it looking feminine. NICOLE, thanks for posting the pic of your bedroom. Neat bed! Thanks to everyone else who replied, truly appreciated. Hope others will respond who have a room like this, it's nice to see how others have their rooms and how they've put things together. Guess we'll see how this goes with this offer. I've learned not to get excited about any home anymore. I won't get excited until the day it closes! BUT, whatever home I get, it seems a smaller bedroom is going to be something I'm going to have to go with - just can't be TOO small, some I've seen are 12x10- nay, nay!! Thanks all!...See Moremaster bedroom help!!
Comments (5)you have a great start to your bedroom. I saw your ideabook and it looks like you like white bedding with some unique trim. I would start there plus two table lamps for your side tables. it looks like you have a queen size bed. I would say you need two regular size pillows. two euro size and then one accent pillow. euros go against the headboard, then the 2 standard and then the accent pillow, like a 20x20 size. I would get all white sheets, add a white quilt and then a duvet with the accent trim. match the duvet and euro shams. heres one of your pics in your ideabook that I used for guidance, along with a few ideas for duvets and lamps https://www.potterybarn.com/m/products/grand-organic-duvet-cover/?pkey=cduvet-covers-shams&isx=0.0&isx=0.0 https://www.potterybarn.com/m/products/pearl-organic-duvet-cover/?pkey=cduvet-covers-shams&isx=0.2 https://www.potterybarn.com/m/products/organic-morgan-duvet/?pkey=cduvet-covers-shams&isx=0.0&isx=0.0 https://www.wayfair.com/lighting/pdp/willa-arlo-interiors-mathews-crystal-base-30-table-lamp-set-wrlo5430.html https://www.wayfair.com/lighting/pdp/mercer41-chesham-31-table-lamp-set-mrcr7116.html?piid=19479261 https://www.wayfair.com/lighting/pdp/mercury-row-elmwood-31-table-lamp-set-w000614216.html?piid= https://www.wayfair.com/lighting/pdp/willa-arlo-interiors-patton-30-table-lamp-wrlo5446.html?piid=...See MoreFinishing touches on pink master bedroom: PLEASE HELP!
Comments (57)Ok! I'd love to do the whole wall - I just have another chain on here with my entryway and alot of people have said my living room is too busy as it is haha I really did want to do the wall paper though. I'm really feeling these designs if I do top and bottom: https://www.anthropologie.com/shop/magnolia-home-pick-up-sticks-wallpaper?recommendation=dyrectray-SimilarProduct&color=018&type=STANDARD&quantity=1&size=Pasted%20Roll https://www.anthropologie.com/shop/peaceful-plume-wallpaper?category=SEARCHRESULTS&color=024&searchparams=page%3D2%26q%3Dwallpaper&type=STANDARD&size=Pasted%20Roll&quantity=1 https://www.anthropologie.com/shop/distressed-floral-wallpaper?category=SEARCHRESULTS&color=004&searchparams=page%3D3%26q%3Dwallpaper&type=STANDARD&size=One%20Size&quantity=1 https://www.anthropologie.com/shop/hummingbird-wallpaper?category=SEARCHRESULTS&color=105&searchparams=q%3Dwallpaper&type=STANDARD&size=One%20Size&quantity=1 https://www.anthropologie.com/shop/birdsong-wallpaper?category=SEARCHRESULTS&color=011&searchparams=q%3Dwallpaper&type=STANDARD&size=One%20Size&quantity=1 https://www.anthropologie.com/shop/rainbow-rose-wallpaper?category=SEARCHRESULTS&color=079&searchparams=page%3D3%26q%3Dwallpaper&type=STANDARD&size=One%20Size&quantity=1...See MorePlease help with my Master Bedroom. Comments (22)Thank you for your replies. Shirlpp, I will try the paint programs offered by BM and SW again. I did try it a few months ago but I was unable to download the pictures to the site Yesterday, I did cut out different headboards and resize them to fit mine and they are nice. After doing this, I realized I do love my headboard when it has pretty pillows on it and maybe I need more light in the room and a different wall color. It is the highlighted rustic color that is clashing with my wall color in person and when not lit up looks dirty to me. Blubird, maybe you are right I need another wall color than what I had in mind. Blubird and Linda Dornan, I have thought about moving the armoire against the wall to allow light in so the headboard could be lit up and removing the small pottery barn white chair to another room. I have a 32" LCD TV (bought in 2007 the year of the new furniture) in the armoire. If the armoire is not in front of my bed or catty cornered, I may not be able to see it lying in bed at night. Also the armoire's doors need enough clearance to open. I wonder if I should put the TV on the dresser in front of the bed and use the armoire for clothing if I can't see the TV when I move it against the wall which I see now I should do. There is a vent (air conditioning and heating) under each window. I wish I did not have the balcony door in the middle of the room that I can't cover in case I have to go out there in an emergency like I did when it was leaking into my foyer area in my living room downstairs. Unfortunately I need all the pieces of furniture and have no room in the rest of my townhouse. I will look for more replies later on and see if there are any other suggestions. Thank you! I missed everyone! You are all such wonderful people and many of you have amazing decorating talent....See More
