(I know this post is a bit outdated, but here goes.) In regards to the bottom plant: Yes, I believe it's a Trailing Red Mezoo plant (Dorotheanthus bellidiformis). And yes, it can be grown indoors over the winter - or just as a house plant (for that matter). It does tend to get a big leggy for me indoors, but chop off the trailers and under a nice grow-light it comes right back (I live in a basement). Some of it's leaves may fall off due to lack of water, over-watering, or simply just stress. Just treat it like most succulents and give it a good soaking then let it go completely dry in-between. Has worked for me. It had flowers last year when it was on my shaded patio. No signs of the cute, little red flowers over this winter yet so I'm guessing I either need a tiny bit of fertilizer, more light, or simply just Time. We'll see. Thanks. When we bought the house last year there were 2 peach treas that the previous owners planted about 3 years ago. Those are pretty close to the house and they don't have flowers on them yet. I wonder if the seeds blew down the hill and grew the 2 we saw today about 200 yards away? I will be keeping an eye on them. I looked up Redbud and what a pretty tree! I'm from Ohio and our tree is the buckeye. It isn't pretty and cleaning them up out of your yard is a huge chore! They have been known to break a few lawnmowers. They also hurt like heck if you step on one without shoes.

no gal.. i meant the first pic.. those trees are not 10 feet tall .. the gate is at least 6 feet tall at the center.. the garage behind is at least 15 feet tall .. and the trees are bigger than both ... my caution is what i could do when i was 20.. or 30 .. and well into my 40s.. is not something i can do today ... and if i had to pay for this type of maintenance.. i could not do it ... but then.. from the first pic.. those peeps arent really worried about budget ... theyll just have the majordomo call the butler and tell him to call the gardener.. who will call the guys who will come do it .. lol ... the problem with finding random pix online.. is you randomly dont know where the planting is.. and it really doesnt matter what the plants in the pic are ... because you will never know if they will grow in your area ... the better post may have been.. what can i use to make tree line like this ... and others have already offered such suggestions ... ken

They would need to be clipped regularly to maintain that tight shape. It isn't natural.
