Adhesive Toilet Paper Holder?

Has anyone used one of these with good results? Don't want to drill into our wood vanity and the free standing one is just one more thing around the small area of the toilet (toilet bowl cleaner brush and wastebasket already there). Any suggestions?

You could try some heavy duty command strips.

Any adhesive strong enough to securely hold a TP holder so that it doesn't loosen and fall off is going to damage the vanity a lot more than two screw holes. Why don't you want to drill into the vanity? Aren't you always going to have a TP holder in that location?

I don't have a glass mounted TP holder, but I can visualize what it would look like to a person in the shower. The adhesive posts stuck to the glass probably look bubbly and maybe white or yellowish from the adhesive pads? I would consider getting a piece of dark tinted film like the kind you use on car windows to make them dark for privacy. I think this stuff just sticks by using some water underneath. Wouldn't that hide the ugly nature of those posts? If it doesn't work, just peel it off.

I finally get fed up with the wiggly TP holder I got at Pottery Barn. It's just a bad design having one attachment point holding a horizontal roll with constant pulling and tearing. I found this one at Rejuvenation. It costs almost twice as much as the PB holder but it's very stable with two screws. It's also got much more heft and coordinates well with the other PB items in my bathroom. Yes, it was made in China, but it makes the PB one seem flimsy in comparison.

Congratulations on receiving a patent! I know someone who would us it, but has to hide the TP from the cats. I'm not sure it will appeal to homeowners, but you may find customers in other places. I'm thinking of bathrooms in nursing homes or other facilities where the huge commercial rolls of paper are just overkill, but a second roll easily accessible would be a plus. They look easy to fill, and so might be welcome in public campground bath houses where someone cleans and replaces such items.

We had side-of-the-vanity TP holders in our old house -- convenient and never a moment's trouble. Easier option: a freestanding holder: Personally, we've been having trouble with our on-the-wall TP holder. We removed it /smoothed over the space on the wall and replaced it with a free-standing holder shaped like a giraffe. I like it, and it can easily hold two rolls.

I think I was more concerned with having the wood split when I drilled into it...

The wood is not going to split. In fact the whole point of drilling is to not have any problems when you drive the screws in, and to make it easier to install them.

I don't believe Command Strips (or similar) would last long ... not against the constant pulling toilet paper holders receive.

If you don't want to go with a screw-in type, I'd get a free standing model.

If you have tile or similar on the wall you could use a suction holder, we have this in one bath, almost 4 years no problems.
