Light Fixture on an Exposed Beam?

my husband and I just bought a 1960s side split diamond-in-the-rough with an open concept living/dining room. Our design esthetic is vintage/MCM meets clean and contemporary. The only light fixture in the living/dining room is currently mounted on the exposed beam (currently a massive ceiling fan). We don’t want to pay an arm and a leg getting it moved, and the ceilings are vaulted making the lighting options more limited if we were to move it off the beam. I’d love any suggestions on what to do for lighting! Many thanks!

PS - the ceilings are more vaulted looking in real life
