It definitely feels like something is underneath the plank. Maybe a nail? It’s been like this since the beginning when we had the flooring installed. However, we didn’t notice it until after we moved back in. And it was too late to contact the contractor because he stopped showing up to finish our remodel. We did have a new subfloor put in so maybe they missed something. Not sure.

I just purchased the LVP NuCore form the F&D. The installers started to put the floor down but it was breaking. This is a common theme with tis product. I believe it is because it is so rigid/brittle. I tried to take it back to the F&D but they stated behind the product and said that installers made a mistake when putting floor in. I lost about $1500 with F&D as even though it was bad product they didn't take the opened box back. It was so frustrating since the workers lost time installing the floor and then taking it down. I was very disappointed with customer service. I will try to contact NuCore directly about this product. Just FYI few boxes were ok, but a lot of them were breaking. they also packed couple of boxes broken in half.

We are replacing vinyl flooring in the basement kitchen and out into the dining area and in front of the back door. See pictures. - separate basement apartment but we have taken over the whole house and want to use the basement for entertainment. We have carpet which we plan to get cleaned professionally. The carpet is 18 years old but on 2 occasions, we were told that the quality is high end. We want to keep it. We like carpet. The question is, any suggestions in colour? We have 2 paisley recliners (see pictures). The couch we have yet to decide on. We have one currently but is covered with Sure fit covers. We do not want to invest ridiculous amounts of money and intend to move in the next few years but during this time, we want to enjoy it. Thank you.

The most beautiful sanded on site hardwood floor, in a matte finish will be "slippery" with socks on. LVP same, engineered same and no matter if sanded or pre finished. Put some house shoes on: ) and MOVE on. You can't hurt the floor wearing shoes, or slipper socks with rubber dots on the bottom. I have no clue what you mean by "broken in". You break in a new pair shoes.....not a floor : ) Actually, even shoes should need no break in. They should fit at purchase.
