Yellow-throated warbler?

We're sure seeing a lot of cool birds this morning, in spite of the cold temps. Is this a yellow-throated warbler? Sorry it isn't a better pic, and please ignore the dirty gutter. :) But the bird seemed to love it!

It sure is! Your place seems to be a hot spot for warblers. Wasn't that you that said you wanted to move to somewhere with more birds? ;-)

We have a migrating Black-headed grosbeak that visited today. In a few days, after refueling on some sunflower seeds, it will be moving on.

The eagle is probably a 2 year old. I year olds are completely brown, 2 year olds are often mottled, 3 year olds have a dirty white head with a dark line through the eye and a white tail, and 4+ year old birds have the white head and tail. T.R. Michels TMIchels@yahoo.com

Wow, seeing all those warblers sure brought back memories of migration while I was growing up near Buffalo, NY. Also reminds me of our trip to south Florida and Key West 4 years ago to see migration...thanks for bringing back the memories with your great photos. BN
