Ooh nice photos, yes I have boring sliders as my DH thought that french doors were less energy efficient. (Silly yes I know) but at least I think I can open the doors in the summer with the screens on for fresh air with sliders. I love all the photos. One quick question does anyone suggest a double rod with drapes and then a sheer underneath or do you think that a curtain will be good enough? One door is in the kitchen, but one is in the master bedroom and we want room darkening somehow. I did purchase the silk drapes from PB and I bet they will not be dark enough, but I just had to have them anyway.

Designer Banded Shades by Hunter Douglas are an excellent choice of window coverings for this space! Love the look. Not only will they help with sunlight control but they will also finish off the space and soften the room with such large windows. As far as the sliding door goes, the recommendation of Luminettes vs. Skyline Gliding panels are exactly what I could recommend. The Skyline is more modern and goes with the Banded Shades better than the Luminette in my opinion. You loose the functionality of tilting a vane that the Luminette offers but I find that most people use the sliding door as all or nothing meaning it's either closed for privacy, or open for visibility out. You also have more options for coordinating fabrics/colors in the Skyline than you do in the Luminette so I would recommend going that route.

ps We have some pull up cellular blackout shades that are virtually invisible when pulled up. Wood blinds seem unnecessary and cumbersome making things heavier - perhaps more rustic than you really want. With the rest of your things already in the room, go with a small patterned light-weight drape with your color accents. Just some thoughts. Good Luck

I would place them as close to each other as possible. I would do only one stick of trim between the windows, so it's 4" and not 8" of trim (4" trim on one window + 4" trim on other window). If that makes sense? So, give the illusion they are mulled. Then 4" trim around the entire unit of windows.
