What do you think of these color combinations?
Comments (6)I LIKE your selections! They are beautiful together - especially the blue/gray color chips with the granite. Please share details of the granite and the color chips. Also, is that lagos blue engineered stone on top of the white dove sample or is that a paint sample for brown perimeter cabinets?...See MoreHow far would you go on this update? What do you recommend?
Comments (17)$30k is an insane cost for a bathroom so small. Even paying a contractor to do the work with modest finishes, but good quality, will run between $8k and $12k. Especially if the fixtures stay in the same location and only get exchanged for new. An architect is always a good investment. An architect will help you with design ideas, can curate material, fixture and finish choices based on your tastes and can oversee the work being done by the contractor to ensure that everything is done properly, up to code, and according to design. The average homeowner is not equipped to adequately oversee a contractor's work. I've had so many clients come to me after a botched renovation because they didn't understand the contractor was taking short cuts and it cost them thousands more to fix. All time and money that would have been saved had they had a professional licensed architect working for them and protecting their interests. Classic Comfort, de nada. You're very welcome. I'll send you a private message here shortly. Thank you....See MoreDoes anyone use Lysol Tub & Tile cleaner on Quartz Vanity top?
Comments (4)Lysol is HIGHLY ACIDIC - pH 1-2 which is the top of the scale. You should only ever use a specialised pH neutral cleaner designed for quartz. This particular product will remove any issues without damage or fear of doing the wrong thing. Caesarstone does recommend to use Soft Scrub with Bleach, though they also recommend and in the warranty information. NOT TO USE BLEACH or anything that is over pH 7.5 which this product is. Soft Scrub not only contains an abrasive that will Dull the surface gloss over time but as the same pH as Oven Cleaner! Also the third ingredient is also listed by Caesarstone AS A BIG NO! NO! and voids the warranties. ALL MAJOR MANUFACTURES list Sodium hypochlorite as a chemical to avoid, it will damage the surface finish and will void the warranties. I think that Caesarstone should revisit their care and maintenance instructions. Given that using their own recommended products VOID their own Warranties..... so what happen when you do claim on the warranty?? http://www.caesarstoneus.com/media/34059/caesarstone_countertop_care.pdf Under the warranty information use of this product WOULD VOID THE WARRANTY!...See MoreVanity Top Granite or Quartz Suggestions
Comments (5)My daughter used marble look porcelain tiles in her hall bathroom. Her vanity color was called pearl but it actually is a light grey. For her countertop she found a remnant of Hanstone Quartz called Black Pear. Here’s how it looks overall Her tub area is opposite the vanity. Here’s a bit out of focus picture of it Since your vanity looks whiter you might want to use a medium grey. Your walls could then be a lighter grey. Hanstone Quartz has a quite a few greys. I like the two below Or check Cambria’s colors. The one below is Fieldstone. Described as “Resembling the weather-beaten fieldstone walls that ramble through the English countryside, this striking shade of slate gray is an impactful neutral that is true and timeless” They have one with a little sparkle in it called Minera with this description: “Luminous shades of gunmetal, steel and pewter sparkle like precious metals taken from the Minera Mines in the mystical land of Wales”. Here is one more of the many out there that might work. Cambria’s website says it’s “intriguing design is a fascinating study in contrasts as blacks and whites meld together to form a remarkably complex shade of gray”. It’s called Talbot Gray. Good luck on finding the right countertop for your new bathroom....See MoreCarolina Kitchen & Bath
