Help: Toe up socks - picking up wraps

Hi i'm knitting a toe up sock on circulars. I've knitted the gusset first and then the heel. Now I'm picking up wraps/double wraps. I've got to the last double wrap on the knit side and only have the extra gusset stitches left on my left needle. I want to turn the work to purl back to the final double wrap on the other side but I can't get the working yarn on the right side.

The stitches on the left are from the gusset. I don't want to knit to the end and then turn and purl back across them because then it'll be two rows uneven to the other side.

I need to get the working yarn over to the right needle to purl back to the last double wrap and pick it up.

Slipping the working yarn stitch over does this.

What's the best way to turn my work and get the working yarn where I need it?
