What slim chairs should I pair with this table?

I am looking to purchase this table for a beach house but want a slim chair to pair with it so I can fit as many chairs as possible. What color would you suggest?

It's a 63" round, which extends to 79".

I agree that a simple wood cross back chair would be a good choice, but color wise also consider black or blue

Finding suitable extra chairs is not going to be easy, but test a few out once you have table, so you can get a sense of how (or not) they work. The table should suit the living room and kitchen and the 2 types of chairs; perhaps a modern black oak table with simple lines could work. You may have to include modern elements to find the right balance with living room especially You said you are stuck with the chairs and going to design around them. Seems a shame to restrict table choices and have non-matching chairs. Could end up with an odd mix that doesn’t quite complement rooms either. Maybe consider selling the chairs and you could probably get at least 1/2 their original cost and then start fresh. It will be easier to start with the table and then chairs. Good luck.

It is funky, interesting, the legs have the animal look, so I'm going with neoclassical look and there are plenty around...here are two vintage, high end in velvet, but you can mimic the look. Paint the table with a gloss finish and leave the apron; choose chairs without arms to fit under.

I would consider something plainer. You have a lot of interest in the pedestal. I would find chairs that were a bit simpler- or at least not repeating the cross pattern. These two chairs are from Crate & Barrel.

The wicker comes in different colors.

For the beach, you might want to opt for solid wood chairs and separate cushions that can be washed and/or changed as needed.

Wide slat ladder back chairs would likely be more comfortable than "x" back. Do sit in whatever chair you are considering before buying it. You can even upscale your choice or keep the cost down, depending upon the style you choose.

With solid wood ladder back chairs, you can stain them and keep the wood finish or you can paint them any cheerful color you want. And, unless seriously abused, they can last a really long time. I still have four similar chairs (oak wood and five back slats) that date back to 1971.

Especially if your floor is wood, you might want to add some small inexpensive "feet" to protect the floor. Some are even adjustable to help you level the chair on uneven flooring. Some are self adjusting and will tilt if the legs of your chair are not a ninety degree straight leg. You can get many different kinds of feet -- some with plastic/rubber or felt or even a ball. The price range reflects the many different kinds of feet available. You can get them in large packs so table and every chair will have the same feet.

Classic Ladderback Seating Collection by Sturbridge Yankee. Wood with a woven seat in several colors. I use one as a desk chair because of the size.
