Rebloom Scapes already
Comments (7)The way I understand it is that most daylilies finish blooming completely and then rest before reblooming. We will see what I get in those reblooms. But these are deffinte rebloom scapes that are coming up out of fans that are currently blooming. With about 400 daylilies, these few are exactly that, afew. But I have many late blooming daylilies so you would not expect them to rebloom or if they did it would be much later as they either just started or haven't even started blooming. So cross off about 80 daylilies. Cross off the EE ones that I don't know will ever make anything of themselves so had another 20 and cross off 100. Then my first year mostly southern type evergreens probably a waste of time to expect to rebloom. About another 100 or so in this catagory. Out of the 200 left, many are not even listed as rebloomers such as most Melanie Mason and Phil Korth intros. I do understand that many of them do or might rebloom so we will see. That leaves me with my Emmeriches, which I bought just about only listed rebloomers, same with my Don Herr and Richard Norris intros....See MoreMore lates and rebloomers

Comments (15)Fighting Fire is absolutely gorgeous! Love this pic! I am in the process of counting buds, but finding rebloom was much faster ;) I only have Instant Rebloom, and mostly it's only 1 scape. Here are mine: Battle of Jericho, Christopher Moody (last year too), Filled to Overflowing, Forty Days (& last year), Fountain of Life, Guilded Appeal (surprise), Incendiary, Intelligent Design, Moon Over Monteray (often reblooms but this year it's in the foliage - all IR scapes are shorter), Stranger in a strange land (it's more like double scaping though, but on several fans; wish it opened well), Strawberry Candy (surprise), Tower of Babel, Willow Dean Smith (pleasant surprise :)), and my DH's seedling (last year too)...See More3 new blooms, and some reblooms
Comments (6)Laura, I am just excited to see blooms on most all my spring acquired daylilies this year. With the cooler spring, they seemed slow to start off. Ay least that is what I am blaming it on. We have had drier weather this year, not bad, but a lot of the rain has been all around us, and getting worse. I just don't water much unless it gets bad. Of course I have done better with new plants. 2nd bloom looked better on both FGT and Sweet Isabela today. Nat4b, I was surprised to see SI scape, yours may still try a late scape. I was pleased to see rebloom on Dr Jules. It put it out while others still bloomed, so I did not notice at first. This started blooming just as others finished so I finally realized. Scape is a bit taller, flowers a bit smaller, but so nice to see. You should like SdG, I got it from Laura last fall. I have read it is slow to multiply, but mine went from 2 fans to 4 already. I rather like the look of Coach's Magic Man better at this point, but the flower is larger on SDG. CMM rebloomed, and did not have a splotchy bloom at all....See Morepterodroma
