Show me your white bathroom, please!
Comments (11)Your bathroom is lovely. And I agree it looks very clean and crisp. The look I am going for is traditional or old world elegant. Again, I am only replacing the vanity, counter and sinks, and lighting as well as wall color and window treatments. I am also considering replacing the shower doors with new, borderless ones. The colors shown (gold and burgundy) are in the adjoining master bedroom. I would prefer NOT to match the bedroom paint but of course need to compliment. Any ideas are appreciated....See Moreshow me your neutral bathroom
Comments (10)My bathroom's not finished yet (though it's more finished than it seems in this picture). It's similar in color scheme to Monica's, though I used a travertine border instead of Monica's gorgeous aqua tile. I also wanted to keep it neutral so I could change color schemes with towels, etc. I don't know if I'd do this kind of tan theme for a kids bathroom, though... I was going for a more sophisticated spa look. For kids, I might do white tile that I can dress up in primary colors when they're small, and you can still make it more sophisticated when they get older. Comments (14)This is my current bathroom. Its five by six, so 30 sq ft. We also do have a very small linen closet just outside the room for storage of stuff like toilet paper. Unseen is a small cabinet over the toilet for medicine cabinet overflow, the cat litter box wedged between the sink and toilet, the towel hooks behind the door and the radiator on the wall opposite the sink. It's not a great bathroom by any means. It's just fine for one person at a time. Or one person, one cat. You can do what you need to do. It's the nicest bathroom I've ever had, but I've lived in some pretty terrible homes in the past. It can be very uncomfortable when the two people try and share it. The radiator is steam, not hot water. It gets very, very hot and bare hiney plus hot radiator is a bad combo, as there really isn't adequate clearance for one to walk behind someone standing at the sink. Also, you have shut the bathroom door before you sit on the toilet because there isn't room to do it afterwards. I think even one more foot in either direction would make a huge difference with the comfort level of the room. At least I would be able to walk past my husband shaving at the sink without a hot rear. When we move to the new place, the bathroom, will be something like three times the size of this one. What I would do if I had they money is carve the one huge bathroom into a modest but sizeable full bath plus a powder room....See MoreShow me your bathroom with laundry. Comments (5)Here is mine, in the bathroom and stacked. Its a smaller European set, Miele. Opened cabinets with an outlet for the iron on the right lower shelf: This is an image of the cabinets before the bathroom was finished. It has a false back on the bottom shelf so I can access the mechanicals. the false back wall is in the section where the cutout for the outlet is: Small pull out ironing board inplace before the room was done. Unfortunately it is on the wrong side for a right handed ironer. But that was my only options. I like it, but don't love it. I rarely iron so it is fine. If I had a lot of ironing I would get out my standard board, which I still have somewhere: This is my drawn plan. the room is 8x about 10". The shower pan is a standard Kohler 36x60" to help with the scale. The vanity is 60". The blue square in the upper left hand corner is my stacked W/D. The gray box next to it is my cabinets with room for the mechanicals to fit behind the cabinets. The cabinets were all custom....See MoreRelated Professionals
