What color should I paint the trim?
Comments (7)You have a great home with character - and a terrific roof line to accent. IMO I would go with a warm color - an actual color like red and bring it to all of your trim. Or go bold with black for all of your trim including windows like the insp pic below. Or go for a white trim, but beef up your trim so it shows. What is your favorite color? You have beige siding (at least on my monitor) so you have a wide variety of colors you can choose. Comments (16)Thanks everyone for the encouraging comments about the fireplace - maybe it's not so bad after all! Ha! Rugknots - you're probably right that I've gotten so used to it that I'm just thinking it looks dated. But we'll see what it looks like after the repainting. You've all got me thinking now about moving forward with getting rid of the entertainment center before I was really planning to! Perhaps I should really move THAT to Phase 1 and move the new furniture to Phase 2! Hmmm! tylerandabby - I never THOUGHT about taking off the side pieces! I know they are screwed into the main center piece (because I remember the RACKET the screwdriver made when the installer screwed them together!) But the top piece is connected to the bottom piece so I'm not sure I can take it apart. Something to investigate though. Thanks for the idea!...See MoreWhat color should I paint the outside?
Comments (4)I found the previous post and agree w/ comments about a lighter color under the porch improving things. Your photo makes it look like you have many different colors in the house, and I agree with cat_ky that your roof color is disjoint from all the other colors I perceive. Maybe photos from a different angle or in different lighting would help to envision something. If the roof/color will stay, then I'd look for a grey accent/trim color that might pull the whole thing together a little better....See MoreNew siding and gutters, what color should I paint the garage?
Comments (7)I would use the exact color of the house on the garage doors. I would however paint your front door a bright color, so it stands out a bit. Also add some color in the porch under the roof by front door. It looks very dark, and uninviting in that area. Add some colored pots of pretty color on the porch. Color can make a huge difference. Its a very cute house. Congratulations on your new home....See Morechloebud
