Need Advice On Color Schemes For Open Floor Plan Home
Comments (8)grandmaof3..the pictures of the kitchen were from when the previous home owner lived here..I'm attaching some updated pics. Sorry for the confusion. Also, I have always had a hard time arranging the furniture in our living room since it is so oddly shaped! :( We are thinking about getting a wrap around couch and maybe a recliner to make things easier and look better. yayagal, thanks for the link! You hit the nail on the head with earth colors! Exactly what I'm looking for..just hard to choose which ones. lol I've seen a lot of turquoise crosses and turquoise western decor, which I think would compliment the colors well! Would you mind sharing pictures of the family room and dining room? Thanks again!! I hate posting these pics because our house is so bare! lol But I always stop to remind myself that we are only 23 and just starting out! :)...See MoreHelp with paint colors for an open floor plan.

Then you'd need to look for an overall inspiration for the color palette and the select the specific colors you want to predominate in each room....See MoreOpen floor plan paint help needed
Comments (4)Dining area: Paint the wall with the arch the same white as the trim and wainscoting. This way you can paint the walls above the wainscoting any color you want. I wouldn't paint the wall behind the kitchen, as it nicely 'grounds' your kitchen in there. But you could add some color by painting the window wall behind breakfast area (and maybe the large lounge). Preferably add color with fabric and decoration. I think the current colors are kinda bland, but well chosen. (And two islands? Really?)...See MoreReally need painting advice for open floor plan!!
Comments (7)You have a beautiful home! I like your current paint color. Do you know the name of it? I would suggest one color for the entire space. You might consider going a shade lighter than the current color. Take a look at BM Pale Oak. As a side note, I would remove all the items that are on the very top of the wall unit....See Moreinspire9
