Comments (10)The AEG oven itself looks good...online, i went out the the shops today, no one had it. One place said they are trying to get a display. They could not tell me anything about it. One guy compared it to steam assist by whirlpool. No one had the new Miele either, just the steam only models...no discounts on them yet. Saw the Wolf, its nice. The AEG: 2.6 cubic feet The manual Says 25% 50% and 100% steam modes. Four paned cool touch glass door. (some models) Has a convection Fan and convection element. Has a Broil Element Has a Steam generator. you can see it in this video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DKMVTrDR5E4 (which has info text in German). Seems to also function as a bake element when not water is present. (Probably a mint to replace it it goes) Other notable modes. Proofing Bake, Broil and/or Convection Drying Warming Steam Reheating Steam Baking A Third bigger than wolf at less than half the price. There are a few add ons for those that want them...oven racks and glides ect. Wolf seems easier to control, at least initially. Mind you, this is with out playing with the AEG so its tough to say for sure. Looks like AEG does not heat left overs as well, it probably does not preheat as fast either due to size. If i go this way it will be easier to talk the wife into a Speed oven. Bonus Video of AEG: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LQ166Xe2m78 If any one has this I would like to see your contribution to the potato race. I don't think it would beat a steam oven but would be interested to know the time....See MoreKitchen Aid steam dual fan convection oven vs. Wolf steam
Comments (0)Hi to everyone, been reading the many great forums. I fell in love with the Wolf steam oven...looking for less expensive options. Kitchen Aid makes a single or double wall oven with piped in steam and dual fan for great convection/air circulation. But there are some really bad reviews on other sites for it (self-cleaning is actually self-destruct, class-action, product recall). Does anyone have one? Recently bought one? Any other options? Thanks....See MoreWolf or Miele or Thermador convection steam oven and single convection
Comments (0)I was set on all Wolf cooking for our kitchen renovation--a 48" range top with grill and griddle and the Wolf single convection oven (M Series), and the Wolf convection steam oven. I'm considering Miele instead for a couple of reasons--the oven has a rotisserie and the steam oven is both plumbed and has a broiler. Thermador will be coming out with a 48" range top with grill and griddle option later this fall, and their oven also has a rotisserie. If I don't go with Wolf, I won't be able to take advantage of any of their promotions. I'm not sure how I'll like the look of the Miele and Thermador ovens to the right of the Subzero 36" separate freezer and fridge fridges (stainless with transitional handle). I'm out of space to panel the refrigerators--I don't have an inch to spare for the overlay. I could step down to 24" convection oven with Miele, but I'd prefer not to. Any recommendations?...See More30" Wolf Wall Oven E Series or 30" Wolf Convection Steam Oven
Comments (6)We bought the Miele Combi Steam in addition to a 30" wall oven, and it is our "Go To" Oven. Use it daily. It is very versatile and being a smaller oven heats quickly. All of our baking dishes fit in this oven. It operates the same as our 30" wall oven plus the combi steam function. It is awesome for reheating leftovers/baking bread/used as a regular oven/steaming veggies- rice etc. The Miele has a broiler unlike the Wolf - not sure of your configuration but you might want to compare the Miele with the Wolf. There are several threads on these two products. Regardless of which oven - you will be happy going with a combi steam oven. Agree with the other posters that recommend you attend a demo at a Wolf/Miele design center if possible....See Morejanejanel
