That is the only living space in the house. It's a townhouse we're renting for a year or two. We sacrificed on space to be close to the beach, which has been an awesome choice, until Irma, of course. We don't have any other "real" furniture for the living area, and we wanted to avoid purchasing anything until we bought a home, but when the old sofa had to go, we had to replace that. So we don't have any other seating, but it's really not a big deal. We don't have kids or family in the area, and we don't have a bunch of people over at one time, so the sectional is enough for our current needs. Is there anything in particular you would suggest for ottomans? I would like something that fits physically with the sofa to get something close to a chaise feel without having to close off the space permanently as you would with a chaise. Finding the right size is important too, as I dislike the really big ottomans for sectionals; they take up way too much space and prevent the use of a coffee table.

IMO sectionals are almost always a bad choice for seating and conversation. Yes I know they look great in pictures but honestly having everyone lined up with no arm rests is the worst possile scenario.I will also say that sectional you like looks incredibly uncomfoertable. Go shopping to some good stores sit in pieces and IMO go with a sofa and 2 chairs .

It would be better to have empty space near the slider than to have a sectional all the way up to and in front of the slider, or a sectional with a short seating side in the open part of the room to keep the sliders clear. But I agree with others that a sofa and chair is much more functional.

Find a lighter color on the paint strip and continue painting with it all the way up and ceiling. If the media stand can be painted do it is wall color but a gloss finish. Add window treatments; throw pillows; ottoman with a large tray; Pottery Barn…used these in a client’s den. If I remember correctly the blue/green of the walls is in the print, but it leans more to your sectional. Walmart Forget about throw pillows…they always will wind up on the floor.
