Window size in living room

Our living room wall which has a lovely water view is 158 inches wide. We are looking at a new window which is 90 inches wide by 72 High. I am thinking we should go wider, like 120 inches to enjoy maximum view. Worried this may be too wide.

What does the current 158" consist of right now? Windows?

IMO the darker drape does not work with the sofa. As for snarkey I will say that to have blinds to keep out the sun is the worst choice I like to be able to see out of my windows so I choose solar shades to control light and heat they also give you day time privacy and then I add drapes for nightime privacy . As for what to se for drapes I would need to see the whole space and no matter what you choose make sure they are the proper length

Hey There: We suggest that you go with blinds or shades for each window individually. A window treatment must be functional at first and looking at your pictures, the new tenant needs privacy and light management. I assume that the bottom window blinds will never be used in the first place but they will allow for light coming in and for privacy. Sorry, not sure why the picture didn't post. Here it is again. RL, I like the round pendant and the pleated one in your first set of suggestions. Is that a Nelson bubble pendant? Also, I should have given a few dimensional details. The table is 36" wide at the ends, 40" wide in the center. Ceiling height is 92".

We had replaced all but that "room" of windows with white vinyl. My husband and I couldn't agree at the time, with what to do with them. He wanted to use wood look vinyl. White vinyl is sort of our compromise as I feel like it's better to not match at all, than have it be close, but not quite. Is far as why not add a door, I guess because we usually have furniture in front of the windows and there is a door just to the right of those windows, in the kitchen, so another exit seems redundant. The room is such that furniture really needs to be by those windows, or there isn't a place for it, otherwise.

It’s a new build, so no pictures as yet. Just a blank wall of 158 inches facing the water. The side wall to the right will have garden doors to a patio. I want a lot of glass on the front, but worried about going too big. Thanks.

at the same time you are choosing window size, choose window treatment. sometimes you can make your life easier by thinking ahead. we see an awful lot of dilemmas that begin 'we have these ginormous windows, and i dont have a clue what kind of window treatment will work on them'.
