I don't think you want to see mine as it has a black trashbag taped to half of it right now - lol! Mine has to be covered because with the new furniture arrangement, it shines right on the TV in the afternoon making it impossible to watch for close to 3 hrs. I put one of those paper RediShades on it when I first moved in the house; it was supposed to be temporary but it turned into about 10 years! I took it down a few months ago and recently bought one of the instock cellular arch blinds for JCPenney online. I'm haivng to trim it down a little to fit, but a hacksaw and utility knife are working pretty good on that. It just cost me 39.99 rather than $125+ for a custom one. I was waiting until my LR was painted and floor installed before instaling it.Problem now is my ladder's not tall enough for me to feel comfortable trying to install, so I am trying to find one I can borrow. Until then, I was able to get the trashbag up there w/ my 4 ft ladder and a yardstick. :) Honestly, I hate the thing. If I had the money, I'd rip it out.

Wow, so many ideas. Has the smart tint been used for very many years. Does it have a very good warranty. It sounds almost too good to be true. Why would Patricia Colwell put the solar shades on the inside instead of the outside. It would be hard to hang the shades above the arched windows on the inside. I could put them on the lower windows on the inside, and then put a tint on the arched windows. Or I could put solar shades on the outside of the house above the arched windows. Although I still don't feel confident that these outside solar shades will stand up to the wind, rain, snow and sleet of the seasons when they are left down. They will face the lake and have a fairly good wind come their way in the winter time. The screen shades look great for the lower windows, but I keep coming up queasy on what to do with the upper arched windows?

When my wife got a retail job - like for blinds / cellular / etc - I used my own measuring system: I wrote the dimensions 1" wider, and 2" shorter. I put a special mark on the quote. There are enough people who want you the measure the windows, then say "I'll think about it" - blow you off. Then go to Home Depot. Sooo - over the years we have gotten more than several calls saying - your measurements aren't correct. Worse yet, they had them remade - but then they were 2" too short. I would say: "We have our own proprietary measurement system.

oh man,,,no shades for that door. it's a beautiful door. (are you doing a UV clear coat to protect it? It doesn't look like anything was applied to the exterior. please look in to Penofin oil, the Marine one. that mahogany is gorgeous but you have to protect it or it will turn a horrid gray shade over time this is Ipe, but your mahogany will react similar. It will deepen and look even better after applying this oil it will protect it from any sun/or water and UV rays. it's easy to use and only needs a touch up every few years. if you don't do anything else to that door, do this product! if you MUST have privacy, then call in a glass guy and have them install some type of glass to the panels. A rain glass would look great. or, maybe they can apply a reflective film that is not noticeable from the inside
