Comments (2)It should look fine. Most people don't notice ceilings, and it's fine if it's a little off. Worst case you hate it and you can repaint the ceiling later on....See MoreOff white Ikea kitchen cabinets and white crown molding?

Comments (27)Hi all, we chose Simply White in the Aura matte! Thank you so so much for all of your input, I did not take any advice lightly and was on the phone with BM this morning until the last minute when my painter was texting for my final answer 😂 I talked to the owner at the local BM store who has been in the business for 50 years. He recommended the Aura Matte for what I’m looking for. He told me that the Aura Eggshell does show up more shiny than the Regal Select Eggshell. I asked him if I should go with the Regal Eggshell then, and he said to still go with the Aura Matte because it is actually more durable and also just as “scrubbable”. My husband reminded me that in our current home, we have BM White Down in Aura Matte (in my playroom of all places). I went downstairs with a rag and some dawn soap and water and scrubbed a very well loved (ie dirty) wall. It really cleaned up nicely and that paint had been in my playroom for almost 11 years. I felt much more confident after that to go with the Aura Matte. He also said it will touch up easier than Eggshell so win win. Now we wait and hope it all works out. Thank you all again!...See MoreNeutral off white paints for red oak wood floors, ceiling, and trim.
Comments (12)Humans are diurnal creatures. We are not bats. All due respect to other pro's , saving the planet, but the last hing I want in my home is daylight ALL the time. I especially do not want it in areas where that "day light" , even on dimmers , is not required. Lighting is no different than paint. There is not really a one type fits all . It's my experience that even the wealthiest client will walk around in near darkness, before it occurs to them to turn on a nine hundred dollar LAMP. OR , conversely, someone will flick on recessed from on high.. nearly all the time, forgetting they even OWN a lamp. An attractive and functional lighting plan is layered. It combines led, incandescent, it is high , it is low - as in ambient and task, and it can involve accent lighting in sconces, or picture lights. The weather and season will affect any paint, as will the lighting you would select for the moment and for that particular space. But to say any any kelvin, all the time , is the "answer"? No. It isn't. To me, that is akin to saying your bedroom should be lit as a potential surgical center, your kitchen as a romantic getaway, and your dining room for a tax preparation event . lol. Paint the walls as you tend to USE lighting. No matter your preference as cave dweller or surgeon. Leopards have a tendency to never change "spots"...See MoreUser
