Aluminum or vinyl railing /balusters for screened porch
Comments (0)Trying to decide between vinyl or aluminum railings for a screened porch. Interested in your opinions. Our contractor initially suggested aluminum, but has found the vinyl seems to clean up easier. I like the thinner look of the aluminum balusters, but easy cleaning is a priority. I might add this porch backs to woods, gnats are a problem in the humid summer and the porch will get filtered morning sun. Thanks!...See MoreAluminum Screened Enclosures

Comments (6)Thanks freedee for the Mosquito curtain link. I really want a permanent solution as I have screen doors planned and have planned an unscreened front porch and an unscreened portion of the back porch. My experience on my present house near Orlando is that an unscreened porch is a maintenance issue I wish to avoid. Screen tight is interesting but requires the wood framing I am trying to avoid so for now I am somewhat resigned to using white aluminum channels. Has anynone used ScreenEze?
