Please look into Staining the Brick. I read that Painting the brick ruins the flow of air and moisture sealing up the weep holes which bricklayers create in the mortar. You will be quite happy with the results of Brick staining. Painting is the beginning of alot of issues you do not want to be challenged by. Power washing brick is not all a positive thing for the veneer..it can do damage...... Sand blasting is a better way, to clean brick, but may require a professional. I think you will be pleasantly surprised at the effects of brick staining on your brick. You may also want to consider just adding some sporadic colors to your veneer, rather than the entire surface, maybe just adding a color to 33% of your brick veneer will add a contrast you are pleased with, in a pattern that goes all around the house exterior.
