Comments (51)I JUST had crema bordeaux installed 2 days ago. The stone sample you have was one of the choices. But higher up in the numbers where I went, were the richer colors - the gray shows but so do the other colors. Put is this way, my stones are numbers 20 and 20. When I went backwards in the numbers I saw "your" color at around 12. My stone actually turned out to be quite neutral. I have put every color and pattern of odds and ends from my old kitchen and it all looks surprisingly GREAT. There is a lot of salmon, red-cinnamon and a rustic orangey-gold (very toned down - not bright or shiney, like a butternut colored cinammon gold, if that makes sense). My cabinets are very rustic and the slabs I chose really marry the prettiness of the stone (which is gorgeous)with the rusticness of my kitchen. Since the colors in the stone stand out a little more than your sample stone, the gray is basically the background. It is ever soooo pretty in my kitchen. EVERYONE, even the stone installers were amazed! You may want to ask around to see the darker or more colorful Crema. I would post pics but not quite there yet. Best of luck with your choice. Your pics look great by the way!! gng...See MoreGranite 911: Will you help me narrow the choices???
Comments (40)Bk wow you are moving at record speed! Hope things are going well w/remodel Ok here's my humble op #1 Harvest cream - goes well w/both, subtle, classy - works #2 Ivory Chiffon - same as above #3 River white - because it is creamy - not white & works #4 Kashmir Gold - I initially totally ruled it out, because yellows are a very hard color to work with - but now that you have shown your family room - I would def put this in the running - Lots of yellow & golds in there including mantle, flooring I find the silver one too cold as most the whites (valley)- & fighting the cream cabs as does the top green I would request sample of your top 3-4 as large as you can get & bring them into your space w/ANY other parts of your palette - stainless(if you are using any DW, range, etc), wood flooring, furnishing, paint, backsplash, of course cabs, hardware - leave & "live" with it (even though i think you are in a condo now) - but see it in different lights etc The counter stone is just one part of the pallette and a big one - So, any of the palette that is known at this time would be critical to use to make the decision. i.e. I had r/o the kashmir gold until I saw more of the family room. Good luck!...See Morewhite granite
Comments (96)I know I'm a bit late to this post but it was so helpful to me in choosing my granite for our kitchen renovation. I wanted the white marble, but knew it wouldn't work for our family. Maybe someday. For now, I went with River White and just had it installed. I love it and it doesn't have any browns in it which was what I was going for. I love the very white sections, but the contrasting grays and bits of light garnet are a nice contrast to my white painted cabinets. Take a look!
