Looking at the listing, i can hypothesize how the new kitchen evolved: the other traditional rooms are filled with objets d'art (including a lot of wall art), a bit of chinoiserie and red accents. A newly found love of Hollywood Regency developed, and those same impulses took on a large budget in a small space. Reading the comments, I wonder how few edits someone could do to help calm down the space. I wonder if a new floor and the same calacatta marble on the island might serve to reduce the excess reflections and excess variation in materials (in the small space). Maybe take down the tile wall or reduce down to mid-wall (or swap the counters out to all white). I am also not a fan of the red barstools (shape, or color) nor the horizontal rail on the protruding uppers. It would still be too much for many people, but perhaps it would look less overwhelming. It would still be a large departure from the rest of the space, but that could be bridged with some decor changes.

i definitely supervised the tile guys during the installation of my sonoma backsplash last week. they are very expensive and just was not letting off. i did have to actually make them take down a row of the sonoma stone cashmere 3x6 subways and redo them. its a good thing i had extras. i did rhomboids too in a random order, but mine were mounted on a mesh. it made it much easier. But, believe it or not, tile guys like symmetry. one of the two 12x12 sheets of the rhomboid mosaic had to be cut apart to make my rectangle shape. those guys were actually tying to make a pattern. I told them that there is no pattern and to keep them like i had them laid out. good luck.

Good morning Jocelyn, does this resemble your mystery plumeria? Mine has a a definite gardenia-like scent though and also has a haze of pink on the front of the petal. If you go to mauiplumeriagardens.com their catalogue has a nice selection of possibilities. That is from where I received this cutting last year as a "mystery" plant so I do not know it's name. I tried to guess from the catalogue and couldn't positively decide which it might be. "Blush Pink" may have been the closest but there were a couple of others also. Take care! Aileen
