Need ideas for end tables and sofa table

I'm in the process of redoing my living room. I have bought the seating and rugs. I have absolutely no idea what to do with end tables and accessories.

The brown recliners are being replaced with some taupe recliners.

I just returned the too large ottoman and throw

There is going to be a built in media wall(lower cabinets only) in the niche area.The cabinets will be Dove white.

The cornice board is coming down and need idea on how to treat that slider wall.

I am considering removing the highboy and putting the grandfather clock in it's place.

I just purchased some dark blue lamps that are a little larger than the lamps in there.

In a perfect world I would like to blend white and other woods, opinions?

Thanks so much for any help ...I am at a roadblock.

jen9 - I like the Lucinda. It's very similar to the West Elm but larger I think. Arapaho - thank you for all the links - nice tables. I do need one with 24-26" diameter for the tabletop. Based on some of the comments, I started looking for a square table and found this one by Aiden Gray side table. It's similar to my coffee table but perhaps not too much of a match. Love the parquet wood but of course it's too much $$. I also wonder if the narrow legs would look okay between 2 large couches or if I need a table with more mass. I did find this site that has a tutorial for making a table top. DH is very DIY and has all the tools so I may ask if he's up to the project. Just need to find a base. NEED HELP! Console table and end tables

I would remove the white TV surround/cabinet completely. and hang the TV on the wall over a low console. The current TV unit both overwhelms and dates the room. Then I would go with dark wood tables but in a more transitional style to update a bit. I'd also remove that big scrolly piece of metal art from the living room wall. Nice room!

ha ha I didn't notice that! No. It's a normal rectangle. I purchased the sofa table when we first moved in. I wanted to start seedling plants for the flower garden, I was starting. Then a few days ago, like.....two years later...I ran across the end table. I think the pieces are very odd looking. Not particularly well made, no age to it...and just sort of BOHO-hippie. :0) I'm curious about their past.

The first to things that stuck out as soon as I looked at the pictures of your space is the grandfather clock and those 2 big things flanking the tv.

Is there enough space behind the sofa for a slim sofa table of some sort?

Lastly, could you do floor lamps or any other lighting instead of the table lamps? Looks off to me. I know you said you are getting other ones to replace them, but maybe it's the placement between the chairs that is off to me.

ETA: duh..sorry I just notice your post title...I see you were already thinking of a sofa table :-)

Everything on the wall that the tv is on will be going. Funny you call then"big things", I was trying to fill wall space and felt lucky to have found big things that take up space. I hope to have some sort of lighting on the sofa table...just need to figure out the sofa table.

how traditional are you going? that table is pretty traditional. I was thinking more along the line of glass tables?
