I saw it and enjoyed it. But one that really struck me - and I am not sure why it didn't get better play or more publicity - was "Wonder" with Julia Roberts, Owen Wilson and Jacob Tremblay as Auggie. I really liked this movie and was quite taken by Wilson's very serious and sensitive performance, as he usually plays such a doofus.

Easily one of the best movies I've seen this past year!

Diane, Ok I agree the Grudge is not a feel good flick I got caught up in the Halloween season spirit that MAT suggested. LOL But I do like this movie in that it subscribes to my type of horror flick and that is less is more. Too many of todays horror flicks want to show you everything and rely too heavily on computer tricks. The imagination is more powerful though. :) So in the spirit of feel good and halloween how about Witches of Eastwick?

I watched Hannibal Rising the other night, by myself. I quite enjoyed it and thought that it finally explained alot. I loved the reference to Melville, SK. at the end. We've got friends that were raised in Melville. I've never been there but I thought it was a prairie town - not a town surrounded by forest? Is this a big movie "oops"? Has anyone seen Beowulf? I want to go to see it in the IMAX theatre. But, I think I just want to see the IMAX effects. Not sure if it's the actual movie that I want to see. Shauna

I love a warm fuzzy. I saw one on Hallmark channel, The Good Witch. It was sappy and predictable and I enjoyed it. Catherine Bell from Army Wives was beautiful.

I really liked Saoirse Ronan in “Brooklyn” so I’m looking forward to “Lady Bird.” I’m trying to wait until it’s free, though. :)

Gardengal, I agree that “Wonder”was an awesome movie! My DD has a girl in her school who has this disease and money was donated so every student could see it to help them understand what she was going through.

I saw Wonder the other day and thought it was really good. My dd saw Lady Bird and really liked it, but I have yet to see it. It's on my list though!
