Sorry, ronnatalie ~ I suppose I was thinking of American vs international plugs, which have (in assorted configurations) fat or slim round prongs or flat prongs or prongs of differing widths and in different combinations of round and/or flat, with 2 or 3 or 4 prongs per plug, set parallel or angled, centrally or off-center... and on and on. As long as the plug's prongs properly fit the outlet they were designed to fit in order to transmit the electricity for which they were designed, there really isn't any practical reason for using any one combination of prongs rather than another. No matter all the different appearances: each conducts the electricity to the appliance. The only consistency is that various countries have a preferred design. The preferred design is the local convention, and the convention is not due to practicality or a requirement of electrical transmission, but simply because sometime somewhere someone decided that only a particular design was to be used. Consistency does not have to have a practical or logical reason for existence; it simply has to be accepted by enough people for it to seem reasonable to be accepted. So whether it's about two-pronged plugs or in-swinging exterior doors, local convention rules local usage.

We have a inward swinging French patio door and would like to install a storm/ screen door that swings outwardly. Does anyone know of a place where I can buy one or order it from

When choosing a hinge styled pair of doors. The biggest issue is clear spanned swing area for the doors to operate. If they swing in are they going to take up to much room in this area? If they swing out will they knock someone down the steps? These are the questions you must ask yourself before you make the purchase. A glider doesn't require any clearance so it offers a great alternative for close quarters. French doors on the other hand need to swing one way or the other. As for the screen issue that's easy. Pella doors and windows were born from the Rollscreen company back many years ago. That's what started their entire enterprise. The phantom screen installs inside the unit either way. Even their gliding unit has an interior sliding screen. Andersen just released their new invisible screen which is amazing in itself. I totally agree with DKB on pointing out the multi point locking of doors. We install doors and windows daily and I always push products which offer a higher security to the consumer. It's much easier to sleep at night knowing your safe. Marvin also offers a great door system. I'm a big Pella fan so I'm biased. So spend some time to go and check out the products displayed somewhere before you buy. They're all great products!!

I hadn't thought about using the water pik in the center cabinet -- I'm not sure how long the hose is -- it would need to reach the sink and as I said, in our bathroom, there is more space between the cabinets so the center cabinet is farther from the sinks. I will make sure we put an outlet in each cabinet so that is an option. In my opinion, I kind of figured the center cabinet would stay closed most of the time and we would mainly use the ones above our respective sinks. But I will have to measure the cord on the water pik and see if it would work to use the center one as the main one. On the subject of two sinks, we only have one sink now and I never understood the desire for two sinks (it always seemed like people on househunters were completely irrational about it, LOL!). In my opinion, a second sink was just more work to clean. But here we are putting in 2 sinks because my dh has a lot of dental problems and his dentists keep adding steps to his nightly tooth care ritual to the point where it takes him like 20 minutes to brush, floss, use this other weird gum cleaning tool, water pik, rinse with special prescription rinses, etc. In the meantime, I am standing there exhausted waiting my turn at the sink so I can brush for a minute and go to bed (I was blessed with good teeth thankfully!). So I cannot WAIT to have two sinks even though I will end up cleaning them both.
