Painting outdoor light fixtures...advice needed!
Comments (1)Assuming rust is not a problem and the old finish is sticking, just clean well, sand lightly if the existing finish is glossy, paint twice with semi-gloss dark bronze. If you want to get fancy you can get an antique finish by wiping on a little black after the bronze paint dries. If the metal is rusting or the existing paint is peeling, that's a little more work...See MoreHELP - light fixture advice needed
Comments (7)Oh, I am so very sorry for your loss, especially the precious cats. I know that houses can be rebuilt, but animals and people, pictures can never be replaced. So sorry. Is it a fire restoration or a rebuild? If it is a total rebuild, do you have your architect or builder plans? Do you know what the height of your ceiling will be? How much natural light will you have otherwise? Your hall will probably be pretty dark (or not). I do not have very good vision so it is hard to read the specs on your current light. How wide, how long and how tall is your hall so that will give someone an idea of what kind of lighting you will need. I am truly sorry for your loss. May everything turn out very well for you and hope that you will find blessings even in this disaster....See MoreBathroom Lighting Fixture Advice
Comments (5)Thank you, ladies. 2 sconces was my original choice, but wanted to consider other options because I’m not a designer ha! Great point about picking mirror first prior to lighting. My main concern was the electrician running wiring before the tile was sealed down, but was just here and can do it. Thanks so much for the advice!...See MoreDining room: Looking for chair suggestions and light fixture advice
