What's causing this browning on my Anthurium leaves?

I got this beautiful Anthurium for Birthday present and it did fine until a few months ago when the leaves started to get these brown parts. It has never been repoted and it's in its original soil.

It is in the room with an average temp. 20 degrees Celsius (68 F), at summer up to 29 degrees C (85 F), I water it when it gets dry (every fortnight) and I never fertilized it. My room is north-facing (northern hemisphere) and it is around 1 metre from the window on the floor, window dimension is approx. 2 x 1,2 m.

I am not a beginner and have grown many difficult plants successfully. The room is not too warm because the cyclamen persicum which is extremely picky about the heat thrives the whole year and even flowers. I suspect it is because the tap water is on the alkaline side (too chalky). Our water is never chlorinated and other plants grow successfully with it.

Does any anthurium specialist have any idea about it? Thanks in advance.
