Comments (21)Sorry, colorfast, I have been remiss in checking my email so haven't responded promptly! I only glanced at the vanities which looked ok but I didn't open them or anything to check on their quality, unfortunately, so I'm sorry that I can't help you more with those. We used our own faucet, a Kohler Fairfax 4'' on center, and it fit fine including the drain and popup. Maybe the reviews you read meant that the plumbing connections weren't standard on their faucets? so that maybe you have get a hose with standard on one end and whatever the connection on the faucet is on the other?? The sink is smaller than our existing 80s' cultured marble integrated bath sinks but works fine and looks fine. The sink/its hole in the granite 14'' side to side, 11'' front to back, and 6'' to the *bottom* of the granite. The sink itself is an inch or so bigger than these dimensions so it can be undermounted. I don't know if they have sink templates, since we needed both granite and sink and of course the granite had the right size hole, but you'll need one (or a granite fabricator ok with doing one) for your own granite cutting. Comments (7)Hi, everyone, Sorry it took so long to post pictures; we got a new computer and, well, it's a long story about an old version of photoshop that can't load under windows 7. (Thank you, Paint.Net!) Anyway... Here's what I'm dealing with in this bathroom: http://www.flickr.com/photos/8864751@N02/5872320991/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/8864751@N02/5872875674/ I've pretty much pickied out this washstand to replace the clunky white laminate vanity that's in there now: ...with a black-and-white 1" hex tile for the floor (not sure if I'm going to get one already set or make a design myself). But I still have two issues: 1) A 30" wide medicine cabinet that I want to replace with a single one...this will involve some wall patching and rerouting some wires so I can do sconces for lighting. 2) What to do with the tub, which is the same mint green and has a very siable rusting chip in it. Some things I've been considering: 1) Covering it with a new liner 2) Reglazing 3) Ripping it out and replacing it with a shower pan I prefer option 3, but since I would be hiring someone to do that, it would run into money. Matching the black tile is not a big deal; I've already had to have some tile work done to have faucets replaced with a diverter. The new tiles are thinner and just require buildup of the mastic. For wall color I'm thinking a very pale, green, maybe like Benjamin Moore Iced Mint. Not sure what to do about a mirror/wall cabinet; whether to go with a black frame like the walls or pick up the white from the sink top. Thoughts? Ideas? I'm open to suggestions. Comments (19)As a real estate appraiser I would advise to try to keep it. It will reduce the valuation by a few percent. If I were to appraise your home, I would now have to compare and adjust it from a 3 bathroom home to a 2.5. That's anywhere from $2,500 to $5,000 adjustment downwards. Understand that I don't know where you live or your real estate market. Even though there is no bedroom on the floor, it's a very usable space. At the very least, I'd put in a shower. You just never know when someone will lose their mobility. It looks like an older home. If your laundry room is in the basement, you may want to reconfigure it to bring the laundry up to the main living area. That would be an improvement in utility and the only reason why I would consider eliminating it. Hard to see everything, but you could reconfigure the doorway/entry and take over that vestibule area....See More

6 years agoI like your idea to light the walls with a lighter paint color. The bm glass slipper is hard to judge in the pic so you need to use your judgment. As for the hardware, you need to remove one handle and check where the screw holes are. You need to match these holes with the new handles or be able to cover the existing holes and drill new ones. You may want to find a finish carpenter if you are going to do the later. If you choose to replace your counters, go lighter with a granite or quartz depending on your budget, Personally, I like sconces on each side of the mirrors if you choose to change your light fixtures.

6 years agolast modified: 6 years agothe hardware actually works w/all of your fixtures and mirrors. you could do knobs or thinner handles if you like.
if you would the room to seem a bit less 'heavy' (due to the dark accents), you could change out the mirrors to a frameless beveled mirror.
Do a simple off white quartz or something in a lighter tan granite would work well. this is a polished, vein cut travertine counter.
look at this countertop in this travertine bathroom. Also notice the woven wood blinds. this is an option for your window
Crema Marfil would work for your counters as well.
here is a room similar to yours and they used Emperidor Brown marble counter
I do like the decor in here.
the last thing I'd recommend to help you out here, are those white mini blinds. they really do not belong in this bathroom. Can you possibly afford to change those out w/something more color appropriate?

another option is privacy window film or a obscure glass inlay that fits right into the window frame.
I like more of a sage or sage/blue tone w/your stone.

this is a nice shade. nothing too aqua though.

5 years agoTravertine update paint color. SW accessible beige. The only Greige I found that didn’t look awful with the travertine and cream cabinets.

also thinking how great a window covering in some sort of pattern would look better than what's currently there
