Help! Which color would you choose?
Comments (1)Wow, that is a gorgeous space. You must be thrilled. I like the whole list of colors -- those are all really good options and maybe you should sample. I'd add one more to the list. You can snag the chip at Lowe's. It's Olympic's Blue Shamrock. Or, you can go the full spectrum route and get the full spectrum version of Blue Shamrock from Ellen Kennon. She calls it Aqua. Course it depends on the light, but Aqua would likely appear less colorful that the colors you've listed yet still be a color. Might be a good balance between the idea of color you started out with and where you are now. Truly, loving the new space. Well done! :) Here is a link that might be useful: Buy Full Spectrum Paint...See MoreWhich Polaris Exterior Window Color would you Choose?
Comments (18)I agree with WoW and WDUsa. Clay is an extremely popular color these days and would give nice contrast to the cream, and also look good with the brick. I do like Bronze as well for a bolder choice. I don't love the beige and tan....See MoreWhich color backsplash would you choose?
Comments (7)I'd find a tile that has some subtle color in it. Maybe not green, but something that starts to add some life / personality. I realize the home will be sold, but I think that getting something that is colorful or at least a little unexpected / different allows people to take that "risk" they would not take on their own and the buyer will attribute higher "style" to the house if you use something a little more saturated. Perhaps something with some blue / aqua, tiling all the way up behind the hood is a great think here too. Something that pops will make everything else feel higher end, IMO. Blanding everything to offend no one may end up generating ambivalence. If your market is decent - I'd rather have someone have a strong feeling on the house. Do something that feels more custom....See MoreNeed new exterior paint and trim. What colors would you choose?
Comments (6)I feel that if you paint the trim around the window, then you should paint all other trim. It would look odd otherwise and honestly, it would look like only parts of the home have been freshened up. There's a house I drive past that apparently buys a run of siding as the owners' budget allows. So it's been a slowly disappearing face of Tyvek wrap for the past 4 years. Personally. I wish they had just saved up over the years and done it all at once. So I also vote for just waiting until you can do it all at once. If I can barely tolerate/ignore the exterior of my house for 12 years, anyone can. I don't think the other responder was suggesting that you paint the garage door the same CURRENT color, but instead, once you do paint the stucco, make the garage the same color. I personally think cream colored house, or gray, with black trim would look sharp. Can you find more of those eaves and add them to the entrance at some point? Have no clue if it's possible, just a thought. Please make sure whatever siding you paint, you paint it all, not just what faces the street. Trim those shrubs too. Just saw that brick on the front, if that's the only place you have the brick, I'd budget for removing it. Looks ridiculous. Keep us posted....See MorePeppapoodle
