Benjamin Moore Equivalent to SW Agreeable Gray

Hello! I am selecting an "all over" color for my new construction home. I really want to use Benjamin Moore paint based upon previous experience but I really like how Sherwin Williams Agreeable Gray pairs with my interior selections. I have read that BM can color match SW but I've also read that this does not result in the exact color and may have different undertones. I don't want to color match unless it's the exact same color. I also have not been able to find a BM color that very closely matches Agreeable Gray! I am going nuts with this and could use some help! Does anyone know of a BM color that will work as a very close alternative to Agreeable Gray? I've ruled out Revere Pewter and Edgecomb Gray but haven't seen many of the other colors in person or on large scale. Thank you!

BenM's Collingwood OC-28 is a good equivalent for Agreeable Gray.

You don't have to understand what all the number mean in order for the notations and data values to paint a picture of how similar these two colors are. They're very similar across the board.

I'm interested in what either of you used.... I had planned on using Agreeable Gray but have been told that Benjamin Moore has an amazing base / moulding paint. Benjamin Moores, Rodeo or Barren Plain, seem to be close in color.

@Sue I know this is a year old but hoping you can confirm for me the colors of your kitchen. Agreeable Gray walls and Snowbound Cabinets? My floors are nearly identical to you but we still have brown/beige/charcoaly granite counters that we can't replace yet but I am just over the dark wood cabinetry and need a color to go with my agreeable gray walls.

I was having a terrible problem picking a gray whole house color. I wanted something light and warm. I ended up with Pale Oak. It’s gorgeous in every room. Light and warm off white in a neutral ivory living room with afternoon sun. It never looks pink or purple. Just deeper warm gray or light gray/off white depending on lighting and time of day. It’s very neutral as I have mostly neutral surroundings. You can add color easily. I added a purple vase and some black accents in the living room. Benjamin Moore white for the trim.

first off, your painter can use BM paint. To say "he only uses SW paint" is ridiculous. you're paying HIM to paint your house the color you want. Tell him you'll pay the diff in the cost for the BM Paint. If he refuses, find a diff painter. if you really love decorators white, then use Decorators White. secondly, you can't color match BM colors. they won't look exact. BM has their own tints and paint. Formula won't translate when using different additive. have them (Sherwin williams) mix up a sample for you and see if you like it. Decorators White is a cooler white with slight gray undertones. I would say, use the SW Extra White (or maybe Pure white) if you like Decorators white (once it's actually on the wall, you won't be able to tell much diff. )

@tugby It will look like primer, if youre gonna leave the wall bare. But when you hang art pieces on the wall that's a different story. It will actually make furniture and accessories pop! So it all depends on your preference. Im back to square one on colors again. omg! Haha! Pure white looks it can tie everything together. Look at pictures haha! Its either Pure White, Simply White, White Dove, or Alabaster. Snowbound is another beautiful color however I heard its not a good whole house paint color.

HI! I used Benjamin Moore Rodeo and really am very happy with it! It appears gray to beige in different light and rooms and even some walls in the same rooms. It's really a great color. Good luck!

kadwivedy....I know an older post but curious as to what you did. My painter is having BM color match SW Agreeable Gray tomorrow... hoping it works!
