I think any one of the layouts you posted will work. Just depends on your personal preference and how many people you are usually seating. In general I think that arm chairs look nice, but no one really sits in them to get comfy and watch a movie, so it depends on how you will use the space and how many people live here.

Art will depend on the layout, but in the model home my eye was so drawn to the gigantic window treatments that I wasn't searching for art.

I do not care for the model home example with the kitty-corner sofa.

Thank you! The room will be used for TV viewing mainly and if we have company we would use the room for entertaining. We have a family room with a fireplace the next level down with no room for a TV and in the basement we have my husband's man cave room. This room was the best choice to have another space to watch TV that is no too close to the man cave room. What sold me on this room was the tall ceilings with the long, dramatic curtains. I am just having a hard time with the layout as the windows on the left are not centered and I feel like the couch is cut in half. I also want to move the furniture away from the walls but the room is not really big enough.

Maybe the sectional will be the best option, since neither end will run the same amount under the windows?

If you added drapes to the left windows I wonder if that would help balancing it at all.

I think your furniture placement is fine; but the furniture scale is a bit off. You'll note the armchairs and the media unit in the model home have some heft to them to compensate for the height of the ceilings. In the photo of your furnishings, the unit the TV is on is dwarfed by the height of the wall, and your armchairs feel too small. This is a room in which the oversized feeling of Restoration Hardware-style furniture would look perfect. I think your sofa is good. You might have to shift things toward the stairs a bit to accommodate larger arm chairs.

art frames surrounding the large TV stand to help balance things out with the tall wall. I would have the art line up with the top of the bottom windows. Do you think that would look good?

Thank you Sabrina! The antique TV stand is a very large piece of furniture at 7 feet long X 3.5 feet tall. I was thinking of balancing the TV and stand below it on the large wall with art as I have posted above. What do you think of that idea? The small side chairs and couch are moving elsehwhere/leaving as they are too small in size for the room (as you had mentioned). For my room, do you prefer a sofa with two-three arm chairs as opposed to a large sectional or a couch and sofa together? We are using this room for TV viewing but I also want to have a bit of a glamorous feel to the room.

I am thinking a sofa like this tufted sofa or something with more weight to it than my current Ikea Ektorp sofa.

I am blown away by how beautiful the room is, you have great taste in homes! I do agree that your furniture is far too small for such a large, dramatic room. I know people on Houzz tend to frown upon sectionals, but if you know you will not be rearranging the room and it will be used for TV viewing, I like the sectional layout you have proposed. Get a nice, big sectional to enjoy lounging in the room and a larger armchair. A larger entertainment center is a must for that room, as well.

Rugknots, Thank you for your kind comments and suggestions! Unfortunately, the antique TV stand will need to stay as I don't have anywhere else to put it. It is huge (almost 7.5 feet long, 3.5 feet tall and almost 2 feet deep). I paid more than I should have paid for it and I would lose money selling it so for now it needs to stay. That's why I thought putting art above/around it would help to balance out the large wall. I will look into a sectional and a larger armchair to fill out the room.
