Feed back on Capital range
Comments (2)There have been a few threads about the new Capital ranges and range tops. I have lp version of the 30" 5 burner with the rotisserie. I haven't used the rotisserie yet but I've linked a recent thread about the good results someone else had. The good -- I like the power of the burners. I like the looks of it, fit and finish. The stainless is easy to clean. I don't use the oven very often but I haven't had any problems with it. This thing is built like a (beautiful shiny) tank. Their customer service is very responsive and helpful. The less good: There is about 1/4" rotational difference between high and low, the rest of the rotation does almost nothing. Simmer could stand to be a bit lower, but I've heard there is a way to adjust that. The burners have great power, but their large diameter means small pots get a more heat on the sides than the center. (Lack of center heat is an issue with all circular sealed burners, but some ranges have at least one smaller burner.) Someone here noted that those small saucepans can tip if not placed correctly on the burner because of way the grates are designed. I haven't had that happen but I did intentionally set it that way to check it out, and it could indeed happen. Here is a link that might be useful: Let the Rotisserie Fun Begin!...See MorePlans finished, feed back welcome.
Comments (76)Design isn't opinion. Or subjective. It is a rigorous approach to pare down to the absolute basics before building it up with the decorative flourishes. Plan creation is not the same thing as home design Too many modern dwellings are all about the decorative flourishes first. It's like a wedding cake built of icing. Decorative swirls and flowers piled on top of each other, but without any cake underneath. Paper is SO much easier to change than concrete and studs. And cheaper. All kinds of cheaper. The best investment in any home is a good design. This isn't there. Or even close. A critique is not to be confused with a criticism. Flattered to have been quoted by ARG. :-)...See MoreDoes anyone have any feed back on the GE Monogram ZICS360NNRH
Comments (4)Do not buy a GS monogram appliance!!! They are terrible quality. We purchased a $10k monogram refrigerator and have been dealing with issues since the day it was delivered. The first one was replaced after less than 6 months. The replacement has now failed completely after 7 months. I have not had a reliable and working kitchen refrigerator for a year. Please save yourself from a very costly mistake....See MoreFeed back/input, please
Comments (8)I like this idea as I find it difficult to compare hostas at the middle and end of the alphabet because I have to scroll so far down. Many times I get signed out from scrolling to fast. :-) I’m inpatient I guess. But if you’re willing to do it, I think I would use it more. Thanks for all the work you have already done!! debra...See Morehavingfun
