A pretty little bathroom I barely got to use (pic)
Comments (4)Realtors say good bathrooms (esp the master) and kitchens sell houses. It is not a large spa-like bathroom, but it is clean, bright, open, nicely done. Hope you don't need another redo as soon as you move, but now you've tested all the design ideas nad skills to give you confidence if you do at some point....See Moreprime/paint bare 1930's plaster bathroom?
Comments (9)Why would you oil prime? Just to disagree or do you have a valid reason over GARDZ which is ideal over plaster. I was just trying to make it easier for the obvious home owner. As you know Gardz is not the easiest product to apply properly and in an old bath( maybe without a fan)the oil primer would lock down residual paste and provide a sound surface for the finish coats. Yes,Gardz is a great product but it is still not solvent based and could break down with sufficient moisture and yes,I too avoid oil if at all possible but in this situation,I believe it to be the best solution,I am now done....See MoreBathroom - good bones but needs "decorating"
Comments (7)The Theo in the Quartz colorway came from Tonic Living today. I like the fabric but it just isn't right with the wall color. Tibbrix, you've reinforced what I really want to do. Nice white shower curtain. I'm in the south. If it doesn't move, we monogram it. So I may have the shower curtain monogrammed either in white or to match the silver sage walls. I always use only white towels. I have a nice mirrored box I can put on the vanity along with some silver/chrome accessories. A thick, white bath mat to be used when showering, and I'm done! I wasn't considering actually carpeting the bathroom. Ewww...cooties! I've seen some bathrooms with small oriental rugs in them, usually in front of the vanity. I want to like them, but for some reason, they always look a little skeevy to me....See Morehow to decorate this bathroom
