How much storage space for a youth/guest bath?
Comments (1)With a small space, you may want to see if there is a local k&b designer who can do a vanity and cabinets for you. This way you will get the most out of the space. If that's not an option, look into a vanity with drawers as well as a cabinet space under the sink. This way you can keep things tidy. We have two 36" vanities in our kids' bath. They have three good sized drawers on the right and a big cabinet under the sink. We got them from Lowes and they were not horribly expensive. The quality is really quite good. Good luck....See MoreNeed feedback on planned built in
Comments (9)I think it is a very interesting concept, though I'd plan it more for built-in seating with seat and back cushions (plus lots of pillows) with storage drawers below. That way the kids would have a place to store all their gear and you could also use it for all the gaming equipment, bedding and pillows. When it comes time to sleep--some could sleep on the built-in sofa with sheets and blankets or put some cushions and inflatable beds on the floors. Kids and teens seldom need a "conventional" bed to sleep on--and love to sprawl about--esp. as this will be a vacation for them. I think making the built-in as wide as a twin will be less comfy to sit on plus make the room feel more closed in. One of my best childhood memories was at my own grandma's house. She had a screened in back porch that ran the length of her house with a creek out back. She put twin beds the length of the porch and the grandkids would all sleep back there. It was heaven!...See MoreDifferent Storage Options?
Comments (2)I have an old home and storage was lacking so we actually added wardrobes to our bathroom to house our seasonal clothes and I love them! I also have free standing tables with small drawers. One near the shower for clean face clothes and product and one with a small drawer for femine product by the toilet and a bench made with creates that holds baskets for nail polishes, lotions, cleaning supplies etc. our vanity has drawers for hair dryer, irons, toothpaste, makeup and medicines. It is all unconventional but works perfectly for us....See MoreStorage bed but no headboard?
Comments (4)Headboard are functional. Not just decorative. Without one, you’re going to have your pillows scoot off, and be dangerously close to breaking the window if you try to prop upright. Against a wall, the bed goes creeping forward from the forces against the wall....See Morehatetoshop
