Comments (22)Pinch off the flowers so the energy goes into the potatoes. NHBabs - I'd never heard of pinching off potato flowers so the plants would put more energy into the tubers. I just did some searches and there were indeed a few sources that recommend to do just that but there were many more that stated it makes no difference. I doubt that the flowers take much energy but if the variety is prone to producing the potato fruit pods then those may rob some of the plant's energy. I like the potato flowers and so do the pollinators so I'll keep mine. Here is a picture from a couple weeks ago. The plants are a foot taller now and have been hilled up a second time and mulched now. These are Kennebecs and Red Pontiac and they are just now producing flower buds that have yet to open. My Yukon Gold in another bed are not producing flower buds as is normal for that variety....See MoreFirst timer sanding and refinishing floor needs assistance
Comments (20)Why are you getting paid to do something that is clearly beyond your skill level? How did you BS your way into this? Do you have ANY form of license and insurance? What legitimate business do you actually run? Because you are way out of your lane here. You need to hire a real flooring Specialist subcontractor, even if it comes at a loss to you. You’ve already lost any credibility and reputation with the homeowner for taking as long and doing as poor a job as you have. The only way to salvage that is to get the real pro involved that should have been doing the job to begin with....See MoreYikes! All Things Investment Property....Help this First Timer!
Comments (108)Just to come back and update this thread, I just really lucked out and decided to manage this rental hime myself. I advertised it on Zillow and had it rented quickly to a great family who took care of it very nicely. They lived there 18 months, I Re-listed it on Zillow and had 24 applications! I raised the rent, and now have a lovely small family that lives the neighborhood. This has been a great rental home investment....See Morefirst timers— buying land and building home in mtns. where to begin??
Comments (3)Find an architect but also check with all of the various governments to see if you can rent the place for short term although that could change. With all of the fires if I was to build in a mountain/remote area I would want to have two main ways out. Rock slides can close roads for weeks or months in mountain areas....See MoreRelated Professionals
