Hey, we've had a busy few days at the hospital.

We were in on Thursday to get blood work and then his bone-health injection. They always do the blood tests first to make sure that his phosphate is high enough to get the injection.

His phosphate levels dropped drastically, and we were put in the chemo unit immediately for a 4-hour infusion. Completely unexpected. It was after 7 when we got home.

They then told us that we had to go in again on Friday for 6 hours AND on Monday. At least we were prepared for Friday, and took a lunch, drinks and some books. Monday we have an app't at 8 for blood work and meeting with the radiologist at afterwards to see if we're good-to-go for hubby's radium injection. That's the one that comes from the Netherlands, so they check for white blood cell count before they order it in. So we'll be there at 8, see the doc and 9:30, and then go for the 6-hour infusion.

There is wi-fi at the hospital but it's very very expensive. The nurses and volunteers think that it's horrible that they don't offer/give a discount to patients who are there on chemo for hours, without wi-fi, unless of course they have their own data plan.

I posted yesterday on a couple of threads, but didn't want to do the weekend quiz on the weekend. I'll post the trivia quiz tonite, so it's there for Monday.
