Looking for Creative ideas to hide toilet
Comments (8)Mongo, What a neat idea! As we reno our house from top to bottom, I am jealously trying to grab as much storage space as possible from each room. That 'storage wall' vs half wall, has to be one of the best ideas I've seen! Out of curiosity, why didn't you continue it all the way up? My present bath, which I'm about to gut and redo, has a similar layout, but with a full wall (ie all the way to ceiling), but just to end of counter (I'm calling that a half wall, vs what I call a pony wall which is just bar height). I also may steal your tower idea- in fact, I could just borrow the whole layout! If I took this bathroom and positioned my tub at the end (where you have the toilet), could I have my tub deck butted right up to the cabinet at that end (tile it on the tub side)? How much 'in and out' room does a tub need? My room is 79" wide at that point. Sorry Leenda (don't mean to hijack your thread)....See MoreCan we talk toilet paper holders?
Comments (68)We have 2 "Latitude" open ended holders from Gatco in the upstairs bathrooms. Each is held by two screws. They're rock solid. Love the minimal look too. But this time around we're looking at something different for the powder room we're remodeling. There are so many to choose from. This one comes in a variety of strong colors: Too 1st apartment? And too much work to switch to a new roll? Bookshelf, plus extra roll: Too rustic for us, but I like the simplicity of this one:...See MoreAnyone have a pet proof toilet paper holder?
Comments (13)Wish I knew! My dog also likes to play with the paper, or punish us for daring to leave the house without him. However, since my dog is a 110lb German Shepherd, there really isn't anything out of his reach if he really wants it, and he has the intellegence/determination of the average 6yr old boy (Probably even more!) The smartest solution would be a closed door, since the one thing he can't get past is the lack of an opposable thumb, but in our home with the 130yr old doors, I don't have a good system to lock them, so the signal the bathroom is in use is a closed door. 5 people vs one German Shepherd - he wins. ;-) However if he ever masters that opposable thumb thing - he's gonna take over the world. Always ;-) Hunzi...See MoreToilet Paper Holder on Glass Shower Panel
Comments (7)I don't have a glass mounted TP holder, but I can visualize what it would look like to a person in the shower. The adhesive posts stuck to the glass probably look bubbly and maybe white or yellowish from the adhesive pads? I would consider getting a piece of dark tinted film like the kind you use on car windows to make them dark for privacy. I think this stuff just sticks by using some water underneath. Wouldn't that hide the ugly nature of those posts? If it doesn't work, just peel it off....See MoreBeth H. :
