Console Table Behind Sofa
Comments (9)Lolaren - Your room is very pretty. I don't see any lamps. I would put two lamps on your table and remove the benches. I think the white benches are too stark against all the dark colors. Maybe have them refinished in a complimenting color pulled from your room. I would also just put 1 small stack of books and maybe a pretty bowl, platter, candle holder(s) I guess I'm suggesting decorative accessories for on your table. I'm thinking the height you have is what I need for mine. I can't put risers on the bottom as the legs aren't perfectly straight. Also, I don't mind getting a new table. My other pieces are washed w/goldish trim and also some mirrored pieces. My current table is a fruitwood color so it doesn't go well now. Check out houzz.com and just type in console table behind sofa and lots of picutres come up....See MoreI'm sorry, but I can not get behind this style
Comments (51)I have pants like these and I dont mind the fringed edges. I honestly never thought about it until now. I have my go-to places to shop- saks, Nordstrom’s, anthro. And sometimes black/white store and j crew. I dont care about generational differences. I just buy what I like. But if you want to go to a store which seems to appeal to multiple generations, check out anthropologie. I buy a lot of my clothes there now. I see 20 year olds up to over 70 year olds shopping there. I introduced my mother (late 60’s) to it last month and I had to drag her away. Before you say Anthro is too expensive, I will tell you that my mother is extremely frugal at clothes shopping, but the deals in the markdown room were too good to pass up....See Morewhat style is this kitchen? what should I get for the family living ro
Comments (62)Hi Kurln! Maybe a sofa table under the window is a good idea. I don't like that empty space. And put the couch backing up to the opening I think wouldn't be "inviting" for those who are entering the space. I've heard that it's always good to have the space opened for those who are entering, so they feel welcomed....See MoreNeed help finding a console table for behind my couch
Comments (13)How do you live with no lamps in that space?! I don't even see pot lights in the ceiling. I too would want a sofa table for lamps if nothing else but where would they plug in?? Your table should be similar to the wood of the TV console or the metal of your side tables if you want the room to look cohesive. The rule is two hits of any one wood/metal in your case for tables for it not to look like a garage sale. I would not introduce something that will have to stand alone at this point. I am sure the fan is very needed for air flow but the suggested lower chandelier would also be lovely....See MorePatricia Colwell Consulting
