Comments (6)What beautifully grown plants you have! Do you think you could go back out and take some more to add to this thread now that September is here? So we can see what almost 90 days can do to them up in your zone? Thank you for sharing. Now, I really HAVE to stop looking at hosta, and go to BED. Good Labor Day weekend to all....See MoreSmall Bath Reno, 90% Done (Semi-Vintage; ~6x11; 6x6 Running Bond)
Comments (25)Bluekitobsessed, Na_praha, Lauren, and KGW -- Many thanks! Trust me, not every detail is perfect and it took me some time to deal with letting go. [Which I've yet to master, actually.] Lauren -- I do love that shelf AND its price but we don't have much room between tile and mirror, so I will probably file that away for Upstairs Bath. We have the 20w x 10h x 6d cubby to the right of the sink, so *so far* we've been ok. Na_praha -- With single pane windows in the house I always have leaded glass window/door/sidelight envy. Hence my taking liberties with this bath since it wasn't a purist reno anyway! And thanks re the paint color. Since I didn't want a THIRD aqua-in-some-variation room, I swear I tried a zillion colors. But I realized I wanted a shade that blended with the unlighted sconce shade color, so I mixed something up and had Miller recreate. BTW, know what you mean about greys -- thought long and hard before doing a stairwell/upper hall in a cool grey, but skylight + window + fir = not too grim, so: MS KGW! Have missed seeing you around and was gonna send you a personal update, truly. Do NOT know how you got through a problematic reno being increasingly pregnant as I was losing it, esp over the [string of expletives deleted, ha] stuff that went wrong with terrazzo base and windows. I think you get a pass for lack of progress given what you endured PLUS given that you and your DH are new parents! And as much as the soapstone sounds delightful, if you can shrug your shoulders and learn to love the black granite it may be a much better use of your time and energy. Keep us posted!...See MoreSS Support, Monday 6/11 to Sunday 6/17
Comments (19)I haven't caught up on all that is going on but I did see that Maddie is posting again. Maddie~We love watching HK. Who do you think will win? We have watched it all 3 seasons now. We are busy getting all of our dr. visits in so that we can make this trip the end of the month to TX. We are both looking forward to it very much. We can hardly wait to see DSs, DD, DGD, DGSs, etc. It should be a great trip. I'm hoping to visit with my sister some too. My blood pressure has been runnning high & Dave is having a lot of trouble with his arthritis. I have an eye infection. Yuck! DS#1 says, "It is always something!" LOL Like I don't know it. LMAO He was 29 Tues. Getting a little too big for his britches, me thinks. I've been trying to guess who I'll have for my Christmas buddy so that I can get some ideas started. LOL I know, I'm too funny. Oh, yeah, Maddie, I've always thought that being a coroner would be kinda neat too. Or maybe a forensic scientist. (Evil laugh!) Be good to yourselves b/c you deserve it. I'll try to post more tomorrow. We are still working on the 50th anniversary scrapbook. It isn't too many pages so we did 6 on Sunday & ran out of card stock. We got more today. Will try to work on it tomorrow while Dave is doing the clothes. Patti :)...See MoreWW Support Monday6/5~~~Sunday6/11
Comments (7)Morning all...My intention was to weigh this am to see how I am doing....I'm not hung up on the scale because I know your weight varies during the week but I do like to use it as a measuring stick and it also keeps me motivated...especially if I am losing weight...my scale meausers to the 10ths so I can tell when I am moving up or down... I got my exercise in yesterday even though my back was bothering me a bit but I am feeling lazy today...not that I am going to skip it by any means but just not inclined to rush right out there and do it...My husband is out of town so I might even get a little extra in...With him out of the way, food won't be an issue...I can eat anything I want too...He actually lost weight this week too as I have been watching it for him.....He has gone to Dallas for the weekend though and will have too many temptations to be very good...his first challenge will be driving through Corsicana at lunch time with fried chicken smacking him in the face...worlds best is there....well he won't make that one I know...haha he'll be eating it for sure... I'm feeling pretty good at the moment...I can see and feel the difference and I am enjoying the exercise...I wasn't too motivated until I read an article that said...now you don't have to exercise to lose that weight but if you are shaped like an apple now, when you reach your weight goal, you will still look like an apple....just a smaller on...ah ha...that was a light bulb moment for me...now the exercise is beginning to become a habit...do I love it and look forward to it...no...but I have learned to want it... Hope you all have a terrific weekend...I'll be here alone so I'll be checking in for sure....See MoreRelated Professionals
