Out of curiosity, what kind of plants are you working with? Anything rare or just good old hardy greens? I’ve been adding to my own indoor mix lately and honestly got tired of running around local nurseries. Ended up finding this site where I now buy plants online—especially the smaller stuff like succulents and low-light houseplants. Saved me some time and guesswork. Would love to know what you’ve got going! Always cool to hear what others are growing.

FATHERS?!?! I had one, I am one. My son(17) gives me that "I do not believe it" look a lot. When it comes to thing with many keys, buttons & blinking lights he is right. IMO,All sweet peppers are green(unripe/ immature) until they ripen, then they are red(the only kind for many years)yellow, orange or purple. IMO, you are right, but I eat them all & they are great. By the way cucumber are eaten immature in my house( before they turn yellow).

The answer is ... It depends, but it is probably safe. The *only* possible concern is whether they are going to be growing in the same soil. If you are going to have the edibles in separate containers, and separate soil, from your nonedibles, then it is absolutely no problem at all. If you are going to grow edibles in the same pots as 'tropical houseplants', then you will want to research more about specific plants, and their characteristics. Keep the food in a separate pot from the pretties, and you don't have to worry at all.

Our garden raises dandy berries.More than we can eat, freeze and give away :0) But catching the dirt at just the right time for planting berries - now that is the trick. It's the first time we have ever been 'caught' like this. Hubs checked this morning and thinks 'if we don't get any more rain this week (yes, they are predicting more) we can plant them. I checked the new plants and they don't look as bad now that I have given them some sunlight - looking greener. So, we may save them in yet. Thanks everyone for your comments. Appreciate them.
