BM paint color suggestions - great room
Comments (4)A toned down jade (mixed with white) would be nice as well...goes with beige, grays, blues, yellows, browns & white. I've picked an amazing muted jade tile for my bath that is gorgeous and I personally don't think you can go wrong. The difference between jade & sage is that jade has more bluish hues. Btw, recently I read in some design blog or mag that green is THE color now....See MoreSuggestions for a Breezy & Comforting Great Room Color
Comments (8)Test samples by painting a large square of color in the middle of big white poster board. The white border around it will keep your current wall color and floors from distorting what you'll see. Move the boards around to every wall and in day and night conditions as well as in differing weather to be sure it continues to please you as surroundings change. I favor Sea Salt myself, but it does often look quite green. If you want less or more green, keep shopping and sampling....See MoreFamily Room, Great Room Design, Decor , HELP
Comments (6)It looks like the best thing is to start with a new 3 seat sofa. Since you have the TV above the mantle, we assume you want your seating positioned that way. Then you will want two chairs to go on the wall directly across from the slider. You also may like a rug? Below you can get a lot of great ideas from designs of ours. Note the furniture, rugs, end tables, pillows, lamps, artwork, window treatments, coffee tables, and various other decor accessories....See MoreGreat Room Suggestions Requested; Coffee Table and Chair Placement
Comments (19)Does the PB sofa creep into the hall? It does feel a little bulky for that room and you cannot get around it on the window side/no place for an end table. No need to sell. Opt1) Keep the 2 chairs,. Put them side by side as they are with a narrow table between. They are fine. OPt 2) Move one of the sofas in from the living room (appears to be a smaller size than the PB one) Move the 2 C&B chairs into the living room. They actually fit better style-wise with the living room chairs (than the blue ones). Do you need all of those chairs in the living room? Could the blue chairs go elsewhere? In other words, what combination of the living room/keeping room furniture works best?...See Morearmchairshopper
