Sad Update: phal seed cross didnt make it
Comments (2)Hi Gesjenn, That's too bad about your little cross. Does the seller have a refund policy or guarantee? When they get a new orchid, a lot of forum members pull it out of the pot right away to look at the roots. I always take several pix, but not everyone does. The pix are for my records but came in handy once when some plants weren't healthy. If the roots don't look so good and you're not going to repot right then, you can always wash off the medium and stick the bare roots in a bowl of tepid water in the meantime. (You may know w/ Phals not to let water sit in the crown of the leaves.) If the roots look okay, you can just slip the orchid & medium back in the pot till you repot. There are loads of terrific online vendors who have competitive prices & healthy plants. If you search this forum for "vendors," you'll get some good options. You'll also run across vendors that haven't been winners. Let us know what comes next in your orchid explorations. WC8...See MoreSad update here
Comments (3)Loss of a parent is one thing, but cleaing out the house is probably the worst. So many memories. And it looks just the way the left it. It's almost as though you're "sneaking". But you aren't. Cry as much as you need to. I'm dealing with a houseful of memories, too. It sucks....See MoreA sad update
Comments (12)Polly, are you talking about Bradley? I'm devastated. I was following his progress and it seemed that the new spot was nothing to worry about. OMG, how tragic this news is. I had been getting regular blog updates until recently and then they stopped. Could you please pose the link to the family blog once again? Are any donations being accepted for the family?...See Moreupdate on my sad saga...
Comments (7)I am so sorry you are in this mess. Ours has gone way beyond schedule and we still have no stove, but we have cabs at least that we can keep and some counters (not all). I don't know what to tell you other than to be the squeaky wheel. It sounds like you are doing all the right things. Do you have any beefy family members or friends who could put a little fear into the RTSOG? I'd make it clear you will take all necessary measure, starting with the commission, but that you will not rest until he has made things right, commission or not. If they don't fear the commission itself.... BTW - what vehicle does the RTSOG drive? I'd take pix of it and take a picture of his house if either or both are impressive. Those may be good to show the commission if it is not resolved in time. They will see pix of how you are living and should know how he is living while he owes you money to fix your place....See Morehkranz
