Thank you so much for this advice. I just started doing the WS method last winter with seeds I had already purchased so I didn't get in on any of the newbie offers - wanted the seed to go to someone who would use it. Then I started reading up on the seed swaps and wanted to be sure I would have something to trade this next season. So thanks for the warning. BTW - I had a very successful spring. My poppies finally germinated - never had that happen before !!! I'm thinking next year, I will WS most of my tomatoes, peppers and basil too, besides the flowers.

Bev - I thought of doing one, but there are so few true blue flowers with the exception of gentians and morning glories, everything else, even blue plumbago is more in the purple family and I was afraid we'd all end up with someone else's morning glory seeds, so I'm skipping that color for this year. gg - hopefully you can still find something in the garden. Depending on your zone,you mind get another round of blooms you can collect from if you deadhead now.

I alphabetized your tomato's list and fixed some spelling. I can do your whole list if you like but you can add in your numbers..it makes looking for and trading easier :) You have some varieties I never heard of like Apielson. We are asking for a tax deductible donation to start "seed" money for such a project. Should such a project fail, monies would be donated to the local food pantry and people would still be fed. Projected Budget- $500 establishes the garden plot including seed. $3600 establishes a greenhouse and storage area. Overall projected budget of operation to start is $4100. Hi Everyone, Just wanted to invite everyone to come join our Fall Seed Exchange swap over in the Round Robin Forum here on Houzz. Here is some details - As seeds are sent in I will post them to a google docs page. Everyone then will choose their wishes (seeds) from the list to be their return package. I am going to try to grant every wish but remember I am not the seed fairy..LOL! Hoping to have a good variety of seeds to choose from. Even if you don't have many seeds, that's okay. I have hosted these in the past an we always have lots seeds that someone either wanted to try or recommended that were a great producer. It will be LOTS of Fun, you don't wanna miss out!
