living room from scratch - sofa selection

We have tiled floors and tiled fireplace, and want to go for more of a contemporary/modern/clean lines look. We want leather for our main sofa in living room and found one we think would do in terms of look and comfort. Please comment before we pull the trigger :)
The TV wall (excluding fireplace and hallway) is 11 feet wide. The light is making the tile look a tad warmer than it is.
its PLR-1102-HAZE by Century - grand sofa - 106 x 48 x 36 - so about 9 feet wide.
We want to place the grand sofa as our main piece infront of the TV wall and will add accent chair, accesories on the fireplace side of the wall.

Please help with color selection for Living Room and Dining Room
Comments (31)I'm really liking the Capitol White. I think it would look really good in the living/dining area. Here is one picture of some sample boards. Not really large enough to show context, but it works with the space. My concern is I think it might not play nice with the color in the kitchen. Truth be told, I'm not in love with the kitchen color but I don't want to repaint. I've uploaded a photo of the sample boards in the kitchen. Last picture of downstairs bedroom. The plan would be whatever color is in the living room/dining area would flow up the stairwell. So I'd like the new color to play nice with bedroom color. I think it does. Finishing the stairwell massive painting project is next, and then I can get the flooring all put in and be done with the downstairs. Comments (4)We have a similar layout with the fireplace in the corner. And the tv on that wall. In our case we really needed a BIG tv to watch while working in the kitchen or from the breakfast nook. Make sure you get the biggest tv right off the bat to choose the right size console. I'm looking at floating and free standing, but the larger floating ones come in three pieces with seams on the top that I do not like. For our space I'm looking at sectionals. Comments (82)Here's a picture of our old layout, minus the rocking chair that we had by the wall unit and the fireplace. And a picture of best layout incorporating all needs/stipulations I had to work with. The new layout has templates with existing tables that I will change as I am able. You can see how much the entry was blocked, I had 1 little picture to the right of the fireplace (sunset was in dining room) and that big honking wall unit with an analog TV and a small hand me down digital TV with a firestick on the coffee table and extension cords running from there to the fireplace wall. I think I've thought of every possible configuration of things and have gone back to the drawing board several times when I've run them by my husband. 100's of media consoles, sofas, fireplaces, floors, layouts. Comments (35)As I’ve said before, the carpet will be first to go, to be replaced by wood. The long couch and the loveseat will go. The TV stays, but I want to either hang it in front of the niche or (better) widen the niche on the right, toward the door, and hang it there, maybe on an extending arm so DH won’t complain about its being too far from his chair....See MoreImran Shafiq
