Too much brown in my living room?
Comments (18)Ah I posted before I saw the last two replies! boxerpups, DH would never let me hear the end of it if I painted the built ins teal! It took 3 years of nagging, pleading, cajolling and completely unsubtle hints to get him to let me paint. Then the first batch of colors I picked he deemed *too pastel*. I was in Home Depot so often getting different samples the paint people ask after my kids now. It might work in my bedroom which is Behr Ultra's Natural Gray. I haven't done anything in there but paint the walls, and that rug and those pillows are gorgeous......See MoreHelp--How do I build living room around loveseat?
Comments (8)The room is 11X13. We have two chairs we can put in the room now, but nothing we're committed to. This house is basically a clean slate for us, and I'm struggling with thoughts about how to start. I don't want to just hop over to ikea to get it all done, but I do need it functional pretty quickly. Anyhow, I'd love ideas on how to work around/with the loveseat, and start a process that is totally new to me. I've never invested in furniture or decorating b/c we were never in one place long enough for it to make sense. Many thanks!...See MoreNeed help picking loveseat and arranging furniture in living room!!
Comments (5)I love that couch in your pic...that’s style I’m looking for. Idk if should get loveseat so more space and if I should do a cream color or very light gray. Plus, I just have no idea best way to arrange this. Thx you!...See MoreHelp me design around my charcoal couch and love seat
Comments (86)This is all FB marketplace stuff! Even the sand dollar print and dining room table. It’s cherry wood, it wasn’t cheap, but definitely less than what I would have paid new. The trunk was my great grandfather’s. I can definitely move the starburst to the dining area. That makes a lot of sense. I also like the idea of framed family photos. It would be nice to display some of that. Someone mentioned the sheers. I think I need those for privacy. Although without the room being one big wide open space, maybe I don’t need that as much? Years ago we didn’t have sheers and when my neighbor across the street moved away, he mentioned that he could see right into my living room....See MoreDenita
