I am hoping someone may have some of the following : Japanese Anemone (varieties other than Honorine Jobert or Max Vogel) Wood Hyacinth Geranium - perennials (not annual pelargoniums) - any type Dogwoods (babies are fine) Ferns (Maidenhair or Lady would be great) - any other is fine Variegated hosta - any type except those with curled edges Monkshood Epimedium - white or other other unusual varieties (I have sulphureum and rubrum) Trillium Witchhazel Autumn Clematis Veggies - we're going to try a veggie patch this year: Leeks broccoli zucchini cherry tomato plants Lettuce basil parsley thyme spinach cabbage Thanks and look forward to seeing everyone next week. I can only take anything that is deer-proof, as everything else basically disappears from my garden. That's a pretty short list, but here are some I could use more of: Monkshood (any variety) Trillium Ferns (especially varieties other than Christmas fern, which I have lots of) Bleeding Heart Astilbe Iris (especially any named or unusual varieties) Columbine Lavender Perennial salvia Heuchera Virginia bluebells Echinacea Foxgloves (digitalis) Pulmonaria Anything else that's deer-resistant and shade-tolerant Also, my vegetable garden is fenced off, so I might be interested in some veggie plants.

want list: trees/shrubs: Black gum - Nyssa sylvatica Spicebush - Lindera benzoin Bamboo - Large enough for crafts and light construction (fences, trellises, etc), Fargesia or other clumping type only. Or I'll take harvested culms in lieu of live plants. fruit: Blueberries - any kind that will tolerate some drought. herbs/vegetables: any kind of mint, sage, rosemary, lavender, and thyme. any kind of perennial edible Alliums: leeks, shallots, chives, garlic chives, garlic, multiplier onions globe artichokes seeds: anything listed above annual or biennial herbs: parsley, dill, caraway any kind of heirloom tomatoes, esp. Cherokee purple & black chery heirloom/o.p. summer squash: yellow crookneck or patty pan any heirloom/o.p. vegetables: eggplant, peppers, beans, peas, lettuce, spinach, beets, carrots, etc., etc. annual flowers: marigolds, impatiens, petunias, allysums, cosmos, etc. Worms! If anyone has some red wrigglers to spare I'd love some for my compost pile!

We often forget which was what by the time we get them home! Popsicle stick, plastic spoons, recycle old window blinds or other "plantable markers" are great, as they can be popped right in to the ground along with the plant. Clearly mark & separate your "RESERVED PLANTS" (i.e., plants for which you have a pre-arranged swap). GENTLE REMINDER: At the swap, please do NOT take anything that is labeled for someone else, or is NOT labeled "Free" or "Please Take." Ask. That's all you have to do.
