Need help with color for bedroom curtains
Comments (2)sis2two, do you think the lacy curtains don't work because of their ivory color or because they are lacy? (Or both?) Personally, I don't think window treatments have to work with trim as much as with other major decorative elements in a room. So, in your case, the color of the bedding in conjunction with the metallic grey (or black) color of your bed, etc. would be the things to coordinate with. But perhaps what you need is something else to tie the curtains to the bed and bedding....what about an ivory or perhaps a white and ivory carpet or rug? Then, you'd have something with ivory in it placed between the bed and the curtains and window trim....See MoreWhat color/style curtain and rod for this guest bedroom?
Comments (25)Scarlett, I'm sure you can paint the trim. If laminate can be painted, surely anything can be painted. It will take prep work to get the paint to adhere, but I'll bet it can be done. Nevertheless, if you are going to put up panels, so little of the frame will show, that I doubt it would be worth the trouble to paint. Here is my niece's dorm room. Sister mixed coral, turquoise and sage green with it - successfully, I think. Out of sight, are the curtains. She used white Cameron cotton curtains from PB, which are currently one sale if you are interested. (ignore ugly throw. It is Niece's "blankie". Not stylish, but it gives her comfort away from home) Here is a link that might be useful: Cameron curtain...See Moreis pink color OK for the master bedroom pink color for master bedroom
Comments (25)Yes, I think pink is a beautiful color for a master bedroom! The trick is picking the right pink and then balancing it with other elements that are not overly feminine. I love pink and brown together, or black. When choosing a grownup ink go to the brown section in your color deck. As you move up to the lighter colors you will see what I refer to as dirty pinks. These are softer, more pleasing pinks that men can love....See MoreHelp with curtain colours for bedroom
Comments (1)I would go with the darker ones.. I like the rich look. The off-white ones could look dull next to the bright white headboard and painted white trim....See MoreRelated Professionals
