Since you can change the blinds, I’d suggest you work with them by accenting with cushions, an area rug and decor that ties your colours (blue, cream, white, beige) together. Drapes would also soften the look, if that is of interest to you. Alternatively, you could change your cream to a taupe, but again, you’d need accents that tie the colours together.

Hanging curtains will make them look so much better.

I think you need some drapery on those windows , the T.V is hung ridiculously high the beige walls and the white blinds are what is off for me and the beige really does nothing for the furniture color.Maybe add some white accessories to help and drapes like this might work. Drapes IMO finish a space and have nothing to do with making a space feel smaller.

It's just that the white blinds and the off-white paint are too close -- they look like a near-miss rather than a match or a contrast. You either need to reorder blinds in a cream/off-white color, or repaint the walls; if you repaint, you can go closer to the blind color, so they blend, or farther, so they give an intentional contrast.

Here is lighter/blendier, darker, and just different.

If BF hung tv symmetrically on the wall, he did a good job. Problem is, your seating is low so it seems like you really need to raise your eyes ‘high’ for viewing. Eventually that would hurt your neck. Line of vision s/b more of a straight line (from your eyes to the center of screen) rather than upward. It needs to be lowered for more comfortable viewing.

Sometimes we just have to eat our losses. Those blinds do nothing for the room and I wouldn't spend more money on other stuff to make them work. The fact that there are two of them on a single window isn't helping either.

I see what you mean. I almost made the same mistake! At the last minute, I changed the color choice for my blinds to Alabaster and they blend perfectly with the wall color. I'm wondering why you have two separate blinds on that window... is it a very large window that couldn't be covered with one blind? Well, it's done now so I would tend to agree with Patricia Colwell's suggestion of hanging curtains. They will cover/accent the offending blinds. As I side note, I love your wall color choices. Very nice.

In my opinion blinds/shades are used for privacy/light/heat control NOT as window treatments. The blinds look fine but they need curtains. Do the blinds have to be closed? Our shades are seen only at night. Can they be raised in order to let in the natural light? I would surely not get rid of them but I would not let them be SEEN 24/7.

I second the comments about the wall color. The creamy/yellow wall color makes the white blinds look like a mistake. Either paint the wall white, or paint it a completely different color that's not white and I think they'll look just fine. (Although I do think adding trim/curtains to the window would be lovely once the wall color is fixed.)

As with everyone else...fix the wall colour and you fix the blinds. Done and Done. Have fun.

I would try painting the accent dark blue wall the same color as the other wall first. That dark blue wall is glaringly in-your-face. I think if all your walls were the same the blinds would look better. Of course drapes or curtains would help also but first IMHO the accent wall should go.

I agree that curtains would help. Something that bridges the gap between the two wall colors. These are from World Market.

Why not try with changing the wall color? It really seems to clash with the white blinds.

I love the idea of pulling the look together with side panels that bring the colours together. This will look great. You could also have some white crown moulding installed with baseboard, and add in some pics with large white frames..... also agree about pillows etc.... GOOD LUCK!
